Yachiru is the pink-haired little girl who happens to be the Lieutenant of the 11th Division. She is also the youngest Shinigami in the Gotei 13 and her personality reflects that. 
Yachiru is often seen riding on her Captain, Kenpachi Zaraki’s, left shoulder and appears to be the person who understand Kenpachi the most. Kenpachi is also highly protective of Yachiru and would kill anyone who even threatens to hurt her. Yachiru met Kenpachi while she was still a baby in one of the most violent parts of the Rukongai. She was the only one who was unafraid of Kenpachi after he had just slaughtered several men and even approached to touch his blood soaked zanpakuto. Kenpachi adopted Yachiru right then and named her after the only person he had ever admired.
Yachiru has a very playful personality and loves playing pranks on others; her other hobby is eating sweets. She also tends to give people childish nicknames, such as calling Ichigo “Ichi” and Byakuya “Bya-kun.” Yachiru also happens to be the president of the Shinigami Women’s Club; not surprisingly most of the funding for the club goes to buying sweets and snacks.
Yachiru has not been actively seen in any battles so far, but she is very agile and can move around with a high degree of mobility. She also has great strength despite her size as she was able to carry Kenpachi’s body around with little effort. As well, because Yachiru is unaffected by Kenpachi’s immense spiritual energy, it is believed her own energy is also quite high. Yachiru’s zanpakuto is yet unnamed or released. She carries it around in a scabbard attached with a pair of wheels.
