Shusuke Amagai
Shusuke Amagai is the new Captain of the 3rd Division who replaces Gin Ichimaru after his defection. Shusuke is an anime only character who was promoted from the Shinigami Patrol Corps, a feat which has never occurred before in the history of the Gotei 13. He has the odd weakness of getting drunk off even the smallest amount of alcohol. Shusuke was not readily accepted by many members of the Third Division when he first became Captain, however he was able to gain their trust and respect through his actions. Shusuke is a strong supporter of teamwork amongst Shinigami, even between the different divisions; these ideas carried over from his time in the Patrol Corps. He believes that the internal rivalry between the divisions of the Gotei 13 would only slow down efficiency and response times during times of crisis.
Shusuke’s Zanpakuto is Raika which looks like a kodachi or short sword in its sealed form. Raika’s shikai command is “Sever”, after which the blade extends and forms a hook shape at the end. Curved pipes also form at the hilt to generate flames and allow Shusuke to heat up the blade and create fissure when he strikes it against the ground. The blade itself can also function as a spiritual tuning fork. By striking the blade, large waves of spiritual energy are created.

my brother and me both got captains spots im 5th company and he was 3rd.i laughed so hard when i heard he got replaced.he didnt even have a name for his sword.mine is shiorikaru its command is kill all the enemies.its attacks are inazuma and tatsumaki so yea im all set hes not lol
