Yammy is a large and oafish arrancar who is the 10th Espada in Aizen’s Army. Yammy has odd ridgelines on his head and red markings underneath his eyes. His hollow mask remains as a jawbone on his chin. Yammy’s hollow hole is located in the center of this chest. He has the number 10 tattooed on his left shoulder. Yammy is unbelievably strong, but has low intelligence. He is easily provoked and is very brutal in battle.

Yammy first appeared with Ulquiorra Schiffer in Karakura town to scout out the abilities of Ichigo Kurosaki. He demonstrated his enormous strength by easily defeating Yasutora Sado and crushing Tsubaki, one of Orihime’s fairy guardians. He fought with Ichigo and lost one of his arms; it was reattached after he returned to Hueco Mundo with Ulquiorra. Yammy returned with a large group of arrancar on the second raid into Karakura town. He fought and lost against Kisuke Urahara but was able to return to Hueco Mundo due to a negación beam.

Yammy relies solely on his brute strength in combat, so his Zanpakuto is rarely seen. However, during the battle with Ichigo, he was about to activate his zanpakuto is desparation, but Ulquiorra warned him not to.
