Episode 005 – Beat the Invisible Enemy!
Chad saves Rukia from being eaten by the Hollow even though he cannot see it. The Hollow takes Shibata (the parakeet) hostage and forces Rukia to become his prey. Ichigo arrive in time to take on the Hollow. After he learns that it had been the serial killer which killed Shibata’s mother when it was human, Ichigo finishes it off and sends it into the Gates of Hell. After Shibata says goodbye to Chad, Ichigo performs soul burial to send him to Soul Society.
