Ishida uses a special bait to attract hundreds of Hollows to Karakura Town. Ichigo is shocked by Ishida’s rash action but has no choice but to hunt down the Hollows who are a threat to everyone in town. Chad is targeted by one of the Hollows, and runs into Karin as he tries to escape it. During the fight, Chad uses Karin’s guidance because he cannot see the Hollow clearly. However, with both his and Karin’s lives on the line, Chad awakens his inner spiritual powers and gains a new ability: an armoured right arm capable of destroying Hollows.
