Bleach Manga Chapter 6: Microcrack

Sora was fifteen when Inoue was born. Because his parents neglected her, he cared for her by himself. When he turned eighteen, he ran away from home with Inoue. To him, she was more like a daughter; that is why he is very possessive of Inoue. Since he lived his life for her, the deranged Sora believes the least Inoue can do is die for him.

Sora attacks Ichigo, but then diverts and dives at Inoue. But instead of running away, Inoue embraces her brother as he bites down on her shoulder. Her action causes Sora to stop. Inoue apologizes to her brother and explains that she stopped praying because she didn’t want Sora to see her being sad all the time, and instead have him stop worrying because she is living happily.

Inoue collapses from her injuries, but Rukia tells Ichigo that her soul can still be saved as long as the chain on her chest is still connected to her body. Rukia begins healing Inoue’s soul with her demon arts. Ichigo talks to Sora and points out that everyday Inoue still wears the hairpins he gave her years ago. Inoue and Sora had their first fight because she didn’t like the hairpins. They didn’t talk to each other that day, but it was also the day Sora was in the accident. Inoue had always regretted she didn’t say goodbye to her brother that day.

Sora realizes he was selfish and had acted foolishly. While he is still in control of himself, Sora takes Ichigo’s Zanpakutou and cuts himself in the head. Rukia tells Ichigo not to worry because a Hollow cut with a Zanpakutou will be washed of their sins and can go to Soul Society. That is why Shinigamis exist. As her brother disappears, Inoue is able bid him farewell.

Rukia then uses a device called a Memory Chikan on Inoue and Tatsuki to replace their memories of the events. She did the same thing to Ichigo’s family. The downside is that the replacement memories are completely random. The next day at school, Inoue tells her classmates that a Sumo Wrestler came into her room and shot a bazooka at the wall. Everyone thinks Inoue is being weird again, but are shocked when Tatsuki, rather reluctantly, confirms her story.
