Ichigo drags Don Kanonji out of the way of the attacking Hollow and takes him inside the hospital to avoid getting the crowd involved in their fight. Kanonji tells Ichigo he must fight the Hollow because he is a hero – someone who is looked up to by all the viewers of his show. Ichigo reminds him that a true hero must also be responsible for the safety of those around him; that is why they must lure the Hollow inside the building. The Hollow bursts from the floor, Ichigo tries to attack but his large zanpakuto gets stuck in the ceiling. The Hollow spits a sticky goo that binds his hands to his sword, making it impossible for Ichigo to get away as it attacks. But Don Kanonji rushes to Ichigo’s rescue and uses his staff to temporarily keep the Hollow back.
