Ichigo and his friends are brought into the principal’s office to get lectured on by the school gym teacher regarding the incident of the previous night. Ichigo’s little struggle with the security guards at the Ghost Bust show was caught on tape and the gym teacher sees it as an embarrassment to the school. Natsuki explains that she and Orihime only met Ichigo there coincidentally and are innocent. Rukia breaks out some fake tears to gain the teacher’s sympathy. Taking advantage of the situation, Ichigo and his friends sneak out of the office. It turns out they weren’t really in any serious trouble because the principal himself was impressed one of his students managed to get on national TV.

Later at home, Ichigo gets a visit from Don Kanoji. Ichigo manages to sneak away in his Shinigami form when Rukia receives orders of a Hollow’s appearance. Karin spots them running down the street and clearly sees Ichigo in his Shinigami outfit. She is not the only one because they pass by another spiritually-aware person on the street, Uryu Ishida.
