Bleach Manga Chapter 11: Back. (Leachbomb or Mom)

The Hollow faces Ichigo and notes that his soul does smell tastier than Rukia’s. He regrets not having targeted Ichigo from the start and then attacks. Rukia dons her soul releasing glove and uses it on Ichigo.

The transformed Shinigami Ichigo leaps over the Hollow, evading its leech attack and taking Rukia and his own body with him. Ichigo calls the Hollow slow and slashes it with his Zanpakutou.

Rukia warns Ichigo about the Hollow’s leech bombs. Ichigo calls the Hollow a real bastard for taking hostages and attacking helpless women.

Ichigo had taken care of the Hollow’s minions holding the parakeet hostage before he arrived. Now Chad hurries to the scene carrying the bird cage with him. He is worried upon seeing Ichigo’s unconscious body but Rukia tells him Ichigo is okay and is in the middle of a battle.

Ichigo makes short work of the Hollow’s frog-like minions. But even if he cuts them to pieces, the leeches that spill out from their bodies are still bombs. The Hollow triggers all the leeches around Ichigo to explode. It believes the Shinigami to be destroyed, but suddenly Ichigo leaps out from the smoke and strikes down with his sword. Ichigo stops short of decapitating the Hollow because he wants to know who killed the mother of the boy’s soul inside the parakeet.

Back at Rukia’s location, the parakeet, Shibata, confesses that he got everyone involved because he was promised his mother could be brought back to life. It was all the Hollow’s doing. When he was human, he was a serial killer. His last victim was Shibata’s mother, who protected her son with her body even after being seriously injured. The killer was about to finish her off, when Shibata grabbed his shoe and caused him to lose balance and fall out a window.

When the killer turned into the Hollow, he went back and put Shibata’s soul inside a parakeet. He told Shibata if he ran from him in that form for three months, he would bring back his mother. Of course, it was all lies. The Hollow used Shibata to lure humans and Shinigami who want to protect him, but then it kills them for the thrill.

Ichigo loses focus after hearing the disturbing story. The Hollow uses the chance to push away the Zanpakutou and throw more leeches at Ichigo. But before it can trigger them to explode, Ichigo grabs hold of the leeches in a fist and rams them into the Hollow’s mouth.

Ichigo taunts the Hollow to blow his tongue, but it can’t without blowing itself up. Since the Hollow won’t use its tongue, Ichigo takes the liberty to rip it from its mouth.
