Bleach Manga Chapter 21: 6/17 op.5 “Fighting Boy”

Rukia carries Ichigo’s soulless body and runs across Karin and Yuzu who are unconscious. Nearby, Ichigo is just starting his fight against the Hollow. The girl he was talking to suddenly begins to transform, its skin peels away to reveal a tail-like protrusion which attaches to the Hollow’s head. It was part of the Hollow all along.

Rukia informs Ichigo that the Hollow is one that is well known to the Shinigami, it’s name is Grand Fisher and has been eluding them for 54 years. It uses the shape of the girl to lure humans who can see it, meaning people who have high spiritual energy. Ichigo realizes Grand Fisher was the one responsible for luring him to the riverside six years ago and it was he who killed his mother.

Ichigo goes wild and attacks the Hollow recklessly. Grand Fisher regenerates his lost limb and uses both his claws and hair on his body to attack Ichigo. Rukia attempts to help with kido incantations, but Ichigo warns her to stop. This is his fight.
