Chad’s last punch destroyed the Hollow’s right arm, but it is still alive and tries to attack again. Without needing Karin’s directions, Chad charges straight at the Hollow and makes a finishing blow directly to its face. Chad then falls down exhausted and confused. Karin lectures him about being just like Ichigo, always trying to be a hero, and then goes to get her father to treat Chad.

At the Karakura high school, Tatsuki and Chizuru are complaining about having to clean up the glass that had been shattered. Orihime is aware that a Hollow is nearby on rooftops and tries to make her friends leave the school with her at once, but the Hollow has already spotted them.
