The members of the 2nd Division are worried, wheter they should allow Urahara to enter ‘The Maggot’s Lair’, but are ordered by Yoruichi to leave him to his business. It is explained that The Special Forces and the 2nd Gotei division have always been close, but with Yoruichi as leader of both, they have almost merged. I is also stated, that as former third seat in the 2nd Division, Urahara was also in charge of the Detention Unit (a.k.a. Maggot’s Lair). The Detention Unit is a place where dangerous people, who might become criminals, are held prisoners. The facility itself is like a dungeon and the prisoners are like zombies.
In the deepest corner of the Maggot’s Nest, Urahara locates the cell, in which Kurotsuchi Mayuri is held captive. Kisuke then offers him his freedom.
