Bleach Manga Chapter -108: Turn Back The Pendulum

With this chapter, Kubo Tite starts a mini-series of twelve chapters, which show us a flashback of the past, so that the present and future can be more easily comprehended.
The motion is set one hundred years before Aizen’s betrayal. It shows a young Aizen, still only a lieutenant at the 5th Division. His captain is revealed to be Hirako Shinji. They attend to a commemoration ceremony, which involves the other captains and vice captains.
At the meeting Ukitake, Unohana, Yamamoto and Kyoraku are revealed to have been Captains of their divisions for centuries now, and all of the future Vizards are also captains and vice-captains. A new ‘kenpachi’ (kenpachi = strongest warrior of a one generation) has also emerged as the captain of the 11th division. It is also revealed that the captain of the 12th Division is transferring to Squad 0 – the Royal Guard, which is the personal protection squad of the Spirit King. In her place a new Captain is appointed – Urahara Kisuke.
