I was reading some of the older Bleach chapters and came across chapter 33. The title of the chapter is “ROCKIN’ FUTURE 7″ and the cover shows Ichigo, Rukia, Orihime, Chad, Tatsuki, Keigo and Mizuro. We know that Ichigo, Rukia, Chad and Orihime will play important roles in the future Bleach storyline, but what are Tatsuki, Keigo and Mizuro doing there? Did Tite Kubo mean to have them receive spiritual powers in the future or was this just an idea which he later through out. Tatsuki definitely is spiritually aware, but what about Keigo and Mizuro? Those two seem like insignificant third-tier characters and Kubo hasn’t really developed them at all in the 300+ chapters that have passed by since chapter 33. I wouldn’t mind seeing Tatsuki gaining some spiritual powers in the future, but I wouldn’t care so much for Keigo and Mizuro. Let’s hope Kubo abandoned his plans to develop their characters long ago.

Yamamoto gives his soldiers the order to attack. His orders are not to let the enemy enter Soul Society, even if it means sacrificing their own lives.
Soifon and Omaeda are faced against the last of Bagaran’s fraccion. Omaeda appears to be trembling and Soifon tells him to just go die. Omaeda, however does not have that intention and pulls himself together.
The scene changes over to Matsumoto and Hitsugaya, who are confronted by Halibell and her three fraccion. The two shinigami have a short exchange of words as they prepare to fight.
Barragan orders the two arrancar to kill both 2nd Division officers without hesitation. The two minions swear an oath to their master, that they will obliterate thier enemies.
Meanwhile, Kyoraku and Ukitake are up against Stark and Lilinet. Kyoraku asks Lilinet to step away, otherwise he would not be able to fight at full power. Although Lilinet protests, she ordered to stay back. Stark states that he will also not use his full power, so they might as well not fight at all and just wait for the other fights to end. Ukitake tries to interfere with their conversation, but is cut out by Kyoraku, who says that would be great. However his face becomes more serious as he rejects the offer. Stark is quite agitated by Kyoraku’s words and pulls out his sword.
Matsumoto tells her Captain that she’ll take care of the three minor arrancar, while he goes after Halibell. Both of them shunpo away, Hitsugaya landing in front of the Espada and Matsumoto – between the other three hollows.
The real war finally begins as Shinigami and Arrancar draw their swords and start to battle.

Komamura’s bankai mercilessly crushes Po. The other shinigami are realeaved, knowing that the pillars are once again safe. Ikkaku is amazed by the strenght of Komamura’s bankai. Iba tells him that Ikkaku’s bankai is nothing compared to Komamura’s. The third seat is surprised to find out that Iba knows about his bankai. The Liutenant takes the opportunity to schold Ikkaku for not fighting at full strenght, even though those were the orders he was given. Ikkaku tries to protest, but just gets a fist in the face. Iba tells Ikkaku that serving the Gotei 13 is more important than pride and if he is ashamed of being a coward, then he must become stronger. Both shinigami realize that komamura is standing right behind them, but the Captain pretends to have a hearing problem.
Meanwhile Barragan gets angry and rises from his throne. The last two of his fraccion appologize to Barragan, saying they’ll finish the job. Bu before they can leave they are opposed by Soifon and Omaeda. As Soifon’s and the female arrancar’s swords clash, the remaining shinigami and hollows join the battle as well.

Hisagi and Kira rush over to the battle scene and are amazed by the gigantic Arrancar before them. Iba takes Ikkaku and tries running away, but is attacked by Po. As they are aoubt to turned into paste by Po’s fist, Komamura appears again and stops the attack. Summoning all of his strenght, Komamura lifts Po and throws him onto a house. He then orders Iba to not retreat, but stay at his side. po gets up, saying he is uninjured and starts forming a Cero. But the Captain acts fast and activates his bankai. The Fraccion is so shocked, his cero disappears. Even though he tries to attack Komamura again, he is crushed by one swift blow from Komamura’s bankai.
