Bleach Episode 199 – Holy Birth, The Resurrected Szayel Aporro
Bleach episode 199
Mayuri Kurotsuchi has his zanpakuto, Ashisogi Jizō, consume the remains of Szayel Aporro Granz. Nemu asks him to get her out of Granz’s tentacle when something painful happens to her body. Nemu screams in agony as a cloud of gas emerges from her mouth and Granz’s voice is heard. This one of the abilities of his zanpakuto Fornicarás called Gabriel; it allows him to use the spiritual particles inside his victim to regenerate himself completely (in the manga, Gabriel is said to actually impregnate Nemu, but this was censored from the anime), leaving the victim on the verge of death. Mayuri is not distraught at all about what happened to Nemu and is instead more interested in this technique and wants more than ever to capture Granz so he can study him in his lab. He tells Granz that when he absorbed Nemu’s energy, he also took in some of the poisons that he always stores in her body. One of these is called the superhuman formula and it can dramatically slow down a person’s perception of time so that a second seems like a century. Unfortunately, there is no way Granz’s body can keep up this superhuman perception so even though he can see what’s happening, he cannot react fast enough to interact. Mayuri plunges a sword into his hand and tells Granz to savor the pain for the next one hundred years.
