Bleach Manga Chapter 350 – The Lust 4

Download Bleach Chapter 350

Before I start doing whatever it is I do, I just gotta say – THIS IS THE BEST BLEACH CHAPTER EVER!!!! And somehow I have the feeling you’ll all agree with me.
Ichigo’s really gonna put the hurtin’ on Ulquiorra now. His new form is vastly superior to the old Ichigo – stronger and faster than ever before, he has no problem overwhelming the Espada. The only problem is the lack of control. As the author states in the beginning of the chapter, Ichigo’s consciousness is barely there, being suppressed by his inner hollow. I’m guessing Kubo Tite gave us a hint last year, when he suddenly decided to include this in the middle of a completely unrelated chapter:

42

As you can see, there is almost no difference between the masks. And judging by the text in the first picture, the current Ichi-monster is Death. Wooo~~ Scary!

For someone who’s supposedly possessed by Death, Ichigo displays a great amount of will-power by channelling  his lasts thoughts of keeping Inoue safe into the Hollow. Everyone is surprised to see that Ichigo’s still alive. The Espada even deems it impossible and refuses to believe the creature is actually Kurosaki. When Ulquiorra asks the hollow for its name, he only gets an impressive display of the force:

1

If I remember correctly no one in the series so far has been able to summon their weapon from a distance, unless it was attached to a chain or they used kidou spells. This leads me to believe that only a shinigami with a very deep spiritual connection with his/her sword could do that. And since Ichigo’s inner hollow is part of Zangetsu, it’s natural that he’d have full control him. Also some of you may remember that the inner hollow told Ichigo they would meet again, so that Ichigo could finally obtain Zangetsu’s true power. Guess we can expect another fight in the sideways world?

Anyways, the  hollow decides to show off its immense power by cutting through the Las Noches dome with just one flick of its wrist (blowing away Inoue and Ishida in the process). It then starts screaming at Ulquiorra’s annoying and idiotic questions. The Espada gets pissed off at the creature’s rudeness and fires a Cero Oscuro (Dark Zero) at it. However, the target creates a cero of its own, using the horns on its mask. Unlike the last hollow version of Ichigo, which used its finger as a medium to gather energy:

Before:                                           After:

043

The two ceros collide and the result is similar to a miniature nuke. Ulquiorra is stunned that his own cero was blasted away and still has a heard time accepting that a human could actually produce a real cero. Deep in thought, the Espada is caught off guard by the hollow, which appears behind him. Before Ulquiorra can even turn around his left arm is caught and ripped off and for the first time something similar to fear is visible in his eyes.

As the Espada screams his lungs out from the pain, Inoue and Ishida can only stare in disbelief at the monster that their friend has turned into.

03Oh, and one last thing – am I the only one who thinks there’s something wrong with Orihime’s dress?!? (On the samll pic on the left) Perhaps Kubo forgot that little kids actually read this. Because that is definitely NOT just some wrinkle in the dress’ fabric.

good job you called the mask thing.

As for the chapter, I think any shinigami could summon their sword with a kido spell. I think Ichigo’s way was different however, I think he just used his sword like most captains do, in instructing it to act on it’s own. This is seen in Captain level Bankai which often act like summoned creatures in that they fight/act in congruence with their holders but not entirely.

As for Orihime, it is called “The lust” after all…

Problem with her dress? That’s what makes it the best chapter ever!

As for Ichigo’s form, I am just curious as to how this form was spawned? Is it an expansion on his mask, to his whole body? He can’t be dead and transformed into a Hollow, or else it would look like the hollow we saw fight in the Vaizard training.

It is crazy how the much the power meter keeps climbing every few chapters. I mean, Ichigo supposedly gets crazy strong, then Ulquiorra is stronger, so Ichigo puts on the mask and is way stronger than Ulquiorra, then Ulquiorra transforms and is way stronger than Ichi, then transforms again so he is way WAY stronger than Ichi, and now this thing, which is way stronger than the vastly overpowered Ulquiorra…

Say hypothetically Ichigo coming into the fight was about as strong as some of the stronger captains in the soul society, well after all that power jumping, where does his current form stand? Is Aizen so powerful that he could stand in front of this unafraid? If Ichigo can master this form, he will have a whole new level of respect among Shinigami and Hollows alike.

if ichigo could master this form, he’ll be a bit creepy for a shinigami. he already had his mask, but now he is a full fledged hollow with a black sword. no matter how strong he is, i doubt soul society would accept him as a substitute shinigami. remember that they wanted to kill the current vaizard because they were turned into hollows.

and as for orihime’s dress, i guess kubo is getting a little pervy (the big tits thing just wasn’t enough).

I’m not sure but I think Ichigo’s Hollow has become the equivalent of a Vasto Lorde. The physical appearance matches the description and it fits. Maybe as a Vaizard he doesn’t need to consume Hollows for his Hollow to grow?

  • By bruji, March 21, 2009 @ 8:45 am

i don’t know tenkage, but i think ichigo current hollow is better than a vasto lorde. i mean he was already pretty strong with just his mask, but he still couldn’t lay a finger on ulquiorra’s resurrection, and in this form, ulquiorra is hardly a challenge. he ripped of his freakin’ arm. when i saw the spoilers, i thought ichigo cut ulquiorra’s arm, but he actually ripped it off. and he needed a buttload of strength to do that.

  • By ssj sousuke, March 21, 2009 @ 10:15 am

Yeah I agree this form is definitely stronger than a Vasto-Lorde.

Ulquiorra was a Vasto-Lorde Hollow before his de-masking, which is suppose to make him way stronger than he was. So if his regular form is already stronger than a Vasto-Lorde, then his released form, and especially his 2nd released form should be way stronger than a Vasto-Lorde.

Though it might have some connection with one:

Menos grande (the powerful class of hollows) have three classes; gillian, adjuchas, vasto-lorde. They advance by consuming other hollows, but since Ichigo isn’t your typical Hollow, maybe he advances differently.
I don’t know quite how, maybe it is an emotional thing like with the MS, maybe it is through fighting other Hollows, but that could explain the difference between the Hollow form at the Vaizard training and the one now. This is a further evolved, (almost like Vasto-Lorde) version of Ichigo’s hollow.

So there is evidence for and against your claim Tenkage, personally I like it.

  • By bruji, March 21, 2009 @ 11:30 am

the way ichigo’s hollow evolved, it’s like this form is the resurrection of his hollow. another way would be eating hollows (ichigo didn’t do that) or with the hougyoku but ichigo wasn’t near it. i have no idea how did his inner hollow evolved like that.

  • By Quazar08, March 21, 2009 @ 11:55 am

SEEING ZANGETSU FLYING TO HIS HAND LIKE THAT, MAKES ME THINK THAT HE HAS THE FORCE.

  • By Quazar08, March 21, 2009 @ 11:56 am

    THE FORCE!!!!!

  • By Pretend3r, March 21, 2009 @ 3:21 pm

Well Byakushi. i think you nailed it with the death mask. first thing i thought when i saw him in this form is that he looks like the devil.

It’ll be intresting indeed to see where this goes. and where ichigo actually stands in the power ranking. And how he’s going to get control over his soul again. i havent been this exiting for the next chapter in a while.

  • By mart1, March 21, 2009 @ 5:39 pm

I think that the hollow within Ichigo is the equivelent of a Vasto-lord, but just as Ichigo is stronger than most Shinigami because of his hollow, so is his Vasto-lord Hollow, I think the change in his form may be because when he kills a hollow (Grimjaw) it isn’t killed the traditional way, but gets eaten by the hollow. This would explain two things 1. Why the Vizard were condemned and why they have stopped fighting hollows.

  • By BSK17, March 21, 2009 @ 6:19 pm

mart, did ichigo actually kill grimmjow? i think he was alive when noitora came and beat the s**t out of them both.

i think ichigo absorbing the energy of other hollow he comes in contact with might be the reason why he evolved. or maybe this is the true form of his inner hollow. even though he managed to suppress it and gain a bit of it’s power, i doubt he controlled all of its power. and seeing as ichigo is not in control right now, this must be the inner hollow fully emerged due to ichigo’s weakened state. ully wasn’t soft on him!

  • By mart1, March 21, 2009 @ 6:27 pm

He may not have killed Grimjaw (I can’t remember) not he definately cut him, I was just speculating…

  • By Tenkage, March 22, 2009 @ 5:01 am

Well my defense for this Hollow Ichigo being more powerful than Ulquiorra is this:
Ulquiorra= Vasto Lorde Hollow + Arrancar
    Ichigo(prev)= Captain-level Shinigami + Vaizard
Vasto Lordes have been said to be more powerful than Captain Shinigami.

Now Ichigo is = CPT + Vaizard + Vasto Lorde

  • By Tenkage, March 22, 2009 @ 5:08 am

On a thought, I think I know how Ichigo’s hollow evolved. If I remember correctly, a hollow doesn’t need to devour a hollow, he just needs to taste the flesh of the appropriate class to evolve to. Now before I am assailed with endless cries of Ichigo not eating anyone and Grimmjow being alive, here me out.

What is a zanpakuto? A physical embodiement of a shinigami’s soul. So in Ichigo’s case, Zangetsu is a manifestation of him. The Hollow has said he is also Zangetsu. So in this case whenever Ichigo cuts/slices a hollow with Zangetsu, his Hollow is tasting its flesh too.

May be a bit far fetched but it rings with the standard warrior declaration of ‘my blade shall taste your blood’ or ‘you will feel my blade’s bite’ etc…

  • By BSK17, March 22, 2009 @ 11:09 am

tenkage, zangetsu acting as a medium that allows ichigo’s hollow to grow is logical. but isn’t tasting the mask of another hollow that allows hollows to grow? ichigo hasn’t killed any arrancar as far as i know, like byakuya did to espada #7.

r u saying that the reason ichigo’s hollow is stronger than #4 is because ichigo has captain level shinigami powers as well as vasto lorde level hollow powers? if so, i think u r right.

  • By Pretend3r, March 22, 2009 @ 12:41 pm

What i find wierd tho, is that when the hollow in ichigo first appeared during the fight with byakuya. it just spoke. Granted it was the speech of a mad-man but still.

when hiyori forced out the hollow, it was just a screaming force of violence, same during his training. The outer hollow acted just like a beast. And with this form it again seems no different. No talking, just screaming and as said earlier, a display of force.

So why was the first manifest of the hollow able to speak, and every tranformation he went through after that, couldnt.

  • By mart1, March 22, 2009 @ 7:03 pm

now that you mention it pretender, the same thing can be said of the kyubbi in Naruto, I think sometimes Badguys just like a good roar!

  • By Tenkage, March 22, 2009 @ 7:13 pm

BSK17- thats just it. Remember when Grimmjow first met his Fraccion? When they were still Adjuchas? He ate their flesh to grow stronger. I think he only killed one of them to see what the rest would do. Granted they prolly get more power from eating the entire hollow but that initial taste is all thats needed.

And that is exactly what I mean. #4 is ‘just’ a Vasto Lorde Espada where as Ichigo is A Captain & Vasto Lorde Vaizard.

Pretend3r, the only reason I can guess for the lack of speech is this. With Byakuya, Ichigo blacked out and the Hollow was waiting for the chance to grab the reins. Everytime afterwards, Ichigo was ready in case he tried. When the Vaizards triggered the Hollow Confrontation, the entirety of the Hollow’s and Ichigo’s attention was on eachother. The Hollow exterior was in berserk mode without a guiding intelligence. So maybe Ichigo and his Hollow are battling for King. Only problem I see is VL Hollow Ichigo isn’t mindless, he just isn’t speaking.

Hasve you ever been so pissed off that you couldn’t speak. I have. If Ichigo is in control of the VL form, its prolly minimal because he is so pissed.

  • By Pretend3r, March 23, 2009 @ 8:26 am

To Tenkage: That would be about the only good reasoning behind it. That would mean there is probably a bigger battle for control going on in his head than before. I wonder if the swords first form(old man zangetsu) would(or could) be involded aswell. seeing how this creature summons its sword right to him.

  • By arnie, May 14, 2009 @ 1:25 am

Guys I am quite sure that ichigo’s inner hollow is either a vasto lorde level or even higher. See basically hollows evolve by feeding on other hollows ie by absorbing their spiritual energy. Ichigo’s inner hollow has been feeding on shinigami ichigo’s abnormally high spirit power. Thus it has already evolved into a vasto lorde.
However i think they(hollow and shinigami ichigos) will attempt to synchronize as that way their combined product will be a super vasto lorde(something like a super saiyan). Also note their powers tend to increase with each battle like that of a saiyan.

  • By rick, December 20, 2009 @ 10:47 am

wow cant wait for this episode

  • By Hitiro, December 20, 2009 @ 9:20 pm

A few things I’d like to make clear, the Life and Death picture is a picture made by a fan. It holds no significance to Ichigo’s new form which by the current chapter I believe maybe his Resurrección. Also his inner hollow clearly states he’d only come back if ichigo loses his spirit for battle which he got to quell his inner hollow. Nothing was mentioned about him returning to fully get Zangetsu’s powers and even if that were true it wouldnt exactly be reasonable because even though Zangetsu and his inner hollow are one and the same they have two completely different power sources. That means to inherit Zangetsu’s full power you would need to obtain it from Zangetsu. When he technically dies and transforms it seems like nobodies home apart from the few uttered words about Inoue, that is because his inner hollow is still locked up inside.

what episode does Ichigo turn into his final Hollowfication?
