Bleach Manga Chapter 351 – The Lust 5
I noticed this last chapter, but I wasn’t quite sure if my assumption was true?I guess we have verification now:
It seems that hollow-Ichigo’s getting not only stronger, but more monster-like every minute. But there is also a great difference from the last hollow transformation – while the last time only a layer of hollow skin was formed on top of Ichigo’s own flesh, this time his body parts are slowly mutating into a hollow. The cool tattoo on his chest has also spread to his shoulders and back.
Picking up where he left off in the last chapter, the author focuses on “The strange case of Ulquiorra’s mysteriously disappearing arm”. While it was expected that the 4th Espada would have the ability to regenerate his missing limbs, the fact that he is the only arrancar who can do that is actually quite surprising. I always figured that the top 4 hollows would all possess that skill.
The regeneration is indeed incredibly fast and appears to be completely flawless (with the exception that it can’t heal vital organs instantaneously). Ulquiorra’s explanation that the regenerative powers of a hollow can actually be ‘traded’ for power seems quite unreasonable. Do they actually have to choose between having great offense or great defense? Or perhaps those who eat other hollows lose their ability to regenerate? If that is so, then Ulquiorra is the most shinigami-like hollow, since he acquired most of his power by training himself.
After once again mocking Ichigo’s attempts at victory, the Espada proceeds with carrying out his plan to terminate his opponent. By concentrating high amounts of reiatsu into his hands, Ulqiuiorrra forges himself a new weapon – Lanza del Relampago (Lightning spear). This is a relatively new weapon, even to the user himself. He knows what devastating power the lance possesses, but still has trouble controlling its trajectory and speed. When he throws it at Ichigo, the latter just tilts his head out of the way, as if avoiding a paper airplane. The spear lands somewhere in the Hueco Mundo desert, miles away from Las Noches. The result of the following explosion is horrifying – that’s the third blast in a row that Kubo Tite shows us, that is similar to a nuclear bomb. That man’s a megalomaniac!!
Anyways, Ulquiorra decides to try his spear attack one more time. He is surprised, however, when Ichigo uses sonido instead of shunpo, like shinigami do. That fact shouldn’t be so shocking, seeing that Ichigo’s obviously turned into a hollow. I guess the Espada’s amazed that his peskis has failed. (For those of you who don’t remember, peskis is the arrancar’s ability to sense hostile reiatsu.) Hollow-Ichigo just throws the Espada’s old arm back at him, trying to deliver a slap of righteousness. Ulquiorra easily destroys the arm flying at him and without hesitation attacks his opponent. Ichigo just stops the spear with his bare hand and crushes it with his foot. Then mustering up the scariest possible expression, the monster cuts its prey in half with its sword. You might have noticed that throughout its whole fight with the Espada, the monster never even once raised its sword. Against one of the most powerful hollows – Ulquiorra, who could even give ol’ Yamamoto a run for his money, the transformed Ichigo doesn’t struggle in the slightest. Two ceros and one hand are enough to take care of the one enemy, who seemed practically invincible so far. Also, notice that for the first time something like eyes can be seen underneath the mask:
IT’S TOO SCARY!!! AND WAY TOO COOL!!! It’s The Unholy One, himself!
After Ulquiorra is struck to the ground, the monster pins down his head with its foot. At the thought of his humiliating defeat, the Espada is almost happy to see that he’s about to be finished off by his opponent’s cero. With his usual cold demeanor, Ulquiorra gives the order for his own execution. He’s done in by the monster’s final devastating attack, which is (once more) similar to a volcanic eruption or meteor crash.
After this, only two questions remain: How do Inoue and Ishida keep surviving all these extreme cataclysms? And what are they going to do in the next chapter, when faced with a wild, unstoppable force?

You beat me to it:P. Great review again. I’d like to add a third question. More so than Ishida en Inoue. How is everybody down below. All these explosions on the roof, cant be good for those still down there still fighting.
Another thing that strikes me as somehow odd. Is that the monster is silent throughout this chapter, where he was happily screaming in the previous one. Tho brutal. It seems to have more self-control if you will.
I am more intrested in what is going on inside of his soul. And how this mask will appear in following battles.
Briefly said, there is still alot to look forward too.

Ichigo cuts him down in two sec.
I think Inoue may use the good ol’”I love you, don’t kill me” trick…. and unfortunately uses dragon balls… I mean pixies to bring Ishida back to life.

Actually Ichigo’s father is going to show up and reseal his hollow after telling him he can fix the world so Hollow, Shinigami, and everyone can live in peace without hate.
But I’m looking forward to the next chapter. Byakuya’s and Kenpachi’s reactions in particular. Its completely unfounded but I think we are going to find out that Ichigo is a member of the Shinigami Royal Family. Maybe not next chapter but by the end of the series.

no way tenkage. nobody’s sealing this cute guy. he’s way better than the old ichigo who only talked abt winning. this guy doesn’t talk but wins.
i think the next chapter will take place in ichigo’s inner world. or not… i’ll always welcome some action from the captains in earth.
yes, there’s been a lot of explosions lately. but that’s tite and that’s bleach. i think the new ichigo looking more and more like a monster is kinda cool. he is a total hollow now, with sonido and all.
i wonder if he’ll be able to take down the lady espada. he had an easy time with ully who was #4, so he might be able to defeat #3 with a little more effort, can’t he?

shishishi I think Tenkage was just being ironic, Mart and BSK.
Now, if one of you had said Ichigo’s mother came to save him, that would’ve be much more interesting.
@BSK17 I think Ulquiorra is a lot stronger than Halibel. Remember that his second release form and his Lightning spear haven’t been seen by anyone else. So the current Ichigo shouldn’t have a problem taking her or Barragan out.
I’m torn between Mart’s theory of Inoue trying to talk some sense into Ichigo and Pretend3r’s idea of another fight between Ichigo and his inner hollow in the sideways city. My vote is that Ichigo’s just suddenly gunna revert to normal, without remembering a thing.

My, Ichigo has become quite terrifying. I know he doesn’t deserve it, but I actually feel kind of bad for Ulquiorra. Oh well, he is most likely gone…
As for Ichigo, I think the ultimate twist Kubo could pull on us is revealing next chapter that Ichigo himself IS actually in control of this thing. I am 99% sure thats not the case, but it would be interesting.
I normally wouldn’t mind, but if next chapter the scene switches to the Kurakara town fight, I’ll flip nuts.
It is pretty funny that we counted down the deadly sins to see Ulquiorra turn into some all-powerful, hell reaping devil, and surely he did kind of, but then Ichigo practically becomes f***ing hollow-Lucifer himself. IRONY!
And I still want to know why there have been so many lust chapter titles. It sure has to point to the resolution to this scene dealing with Orihime.

Its might be likely that Inoue will save him from this form seeing she is also to one that fueled him back to his current form in the first place.

Actually, I was just being a smart ass due to similarities between Bleach and Naruto both of which seem to draw inspiration from DBZ.
I’m thinking/hoping Ichigo ‘breaks’ his mask. In other words his hollw self will be come an arrancar with a sealed Zanpakuto in addition to Zangetsu, finally giving his Hollow an Identity. So Ichigo will become a Vaizard & an Arrancar.
But more than likely someone else will show up to put things right. I’ll be very pissed if Ishida and Orihime tell Ichigo to turn back to normal and he does so.

i’m all for ichigo going on a ‘little’ rampage through hueco mundo. and then maybe breaking out of there and joining the battle in karakura town. but i’m pretty sure next chapter will take place in ichigo’s inner world.
as for ishida and inoue, they can run for their lives and hope that ichigo has enough control over this form to prevent it from harming them.
also, maybe ishida could fix ichigo’s clothes for him, lol. come to think of it, if he was not half naked, we wouldn’t have seen the hole and markings on his chest. guess tite prepared ichigo for the transformation in order to show us exactly what it looked like.
with inoue’s ability, ishida can get his hand back, good for him.

Interesting thoughts y’ll have there.
But why you didn’t even concedere possibility that Ullqi is still alive? I mean I was expecting more from this fight + it’s only logical that we have 6 part of lust.
But again he shoot cero at Ullqi-chan head so he’s probably gone for good(but like ssj said,it’s shame though).
About Ichigo’s new state..it’s impressive..and like mart said …”he don’t speak..he win”… now he look really like one bad ass mo-fo…so Aizen watch your back.
*Tenkage-maybe in your whole irony thingy you accident discover the real truth. I mean we really don’t know anything about Ichigo and his dad (former captain). Who knows maybe he is noble after all.
