Bleach Manga Chapter 353 – The Ash

All right, seeing no-one else has written one, I’m gonna try and have go at this. My English ain’t perfect so bear with me here.

This end of the fight I would classify a bit anti-climax. Well, on with the today’s story.

It starts off with a nice colored page. Where we see a red collar on Ichigo. And of course the nice colored lenses of Uli. I’ll leave the second color to your own imagination. I wanna see both hand on top of the table here… I’m serious.

Anyway, the story continues with a huge explosion created by Uli cutting off Ichigo’s horn. The huge blast instantly shatters the hollow mask which had taken over Ichigo and once more, his body falls to the ground. Uli simply watches Ichi’s fall from a short distance. In the mean time his body is still healing up but it’s all to no avail. Ichigo’s point blank cero blew away his organs which he can’t regenerate. However he has to admit that if his attack had failed. He would be the one dead on the ground. Reading him talk about his regeneration makes me believe he has no control over it, and it happens automatically. However this short moment that he enjoys his victory is shattered when something happens to Ichigo again.

Something that looks like an upside down traffic cone is formed over his body and quickly ‘regenerates’, as Uli calls it, the hole in his body. Uli seems shocked beyond belief. So do the other two folks btw.  And more shocking Ichigo quickly regains his conscience, and the only thing he seems to remember is that Uli blew a hole in his chest. His hair went short right at the time his hole closed up.  Ichigo turns his head to find Zangetsu lodged in Ishida’s chest. Ichigo barely gets time to say something because Uli shut him up and threw his sword back to Ichigo. (Ishida is in a bad position these last couple of chapters). A conversation between the two damaged warriors starts. For some reason Ichigo wants to finish the fight the proper way by allowing Uli to cut ichigo’s arm and leg as compensation.  Uli seems somewhat reluctant but accepts Ichigo’s terms.

However…. this fight seems to be finally over. Uli’s power seems to be gone as his body starts turning into dust. However he says the following: “If you don’t kill me now, it will never be over.”

Does this mean, the even though he’s turning into dust, it’s not actually the same as killing him? Whatever seems to be the case Ichigo refuses to kill him in this state. Uli seems to be a bit more human (again) in his final words. His final question is aimed at Inoue. “Are you scared of me?”  Inoue responds with a clear no, which seems to put Uli at ease, as he reaches out his hand to Inoue, she does the same but before they can reach his body quickly flows away into dust ending this chapter…
