It confirms that he is one of the strongest taichous. The same goes for Shunsui. They will use their full power against a real treat like Aizen or Ichimaru. “A smart warrior, a good general or a good person would do as they, not using unnecessary force”. I expect SoiFon to cause some minor injuries but not defeat Barragan. It will be a shame to Kubo if all the weakest won. Her bankai is impressive, but i doubt that one hit from soi fon's bankai is going to do-in the segunta espada. even the 7th espada barely survived a direct attack from byakuya's bankai (a captain i believe to be stronger). so this is cool and all, but i doubt barragan is going to be seriously hurt from this one attack, and if he is, then i'd call soi fon one of the strongest captains in the entire gotei. plus there just hasn't been nearly as much coverage on barragan as there has on the other espada before their deaths. halibel didn't have that much coverage either, which is why i still doubt her death. you'd think these 2 of the top 3 espada would have longer, more in depth fights that might reveal a little more about them. it has been somewhat of a pattern with the espada fights/deaths thus far. lilinette obviously wants to release. I think Ukitake knows that if he gives the sword back he may not be able to playfully avoid hurting her. he is trying to keep her from releasing. and i can't believe i didn't notice the identical illustrations before you pointed it out. haha -ssj Ok, a little cross posting of my own with the Naruto forums.
