Episode 230: A New Enemy! The Materialization of Zanpakutō
It seems that this episode is the beginning of Season 12: Zanpakutō Unknown Tales. The way this one looks theres going to be another pretty long filler arc., but it looks pretty interesting so I’m not that mad.

I agree, they might actually have spent some time making this filler interesting, rather than pull some weird plot out o’ theri a$$ haha. Oh and don’t embed veoh vids, I get complaints that veoh doesn’t stream to certain countries ;p

This filler arch does have more promise than the others. Though(<-like this right?;) ) Soi Fon zanpaktou looks well stupid.

i really like hisagi’s zanpakuto. and ukitake’s zanpakuto looks like two dumb twins.

i think toshiro’s and ichigo’s are the coolest. i like how soifon’s looks a lot like soifon’s bankai. hisagi’s really explains to us why he always talks about being afrain of his zanpakuto. i wonder, is that masked one at 20:45 is byakuyas. and i want to know what zabimaru will look like.
my guess is that the people that don’t use zanpakuto like orihime, chad, ishida, and most importantly kenpachi will be very valuable in this arc.

yeah, but the captains still have kidou. but i wonder what would happen if they kill their zanpakutou. will they still be able to use it afterwards?

@ssj: The forms their zanpaktou’s have taken are probably very different from how they look in their own world.
Thus i dont think we can say we’ve seen Ichigo’s and Toshiro ‘freed’ zanpaktou’s. Furthermore… Ichigo doenst reside in Soul Society, so I doubt he has lost his. Same would go for Urahara(and in a sense Ishin too, but he hasnt done much else in the manga so far).
I think we can ‘confirm’(or not) their inner world and physical appearance differ when we see how Renji’s look.
I think that indeed, Ichigo(obviously) and the other three will play a big role. I dont think they will ‘kill’ their swords for obvious reason. They would have to find a way to convince them to go back to normal or whatever.

Awww, maaan, not more fillers… Just when Ulqui-chan was about to fight! At least it looks like there’s going to be plenty of action this time.
Also, I suppose the director decided it’s best to make the Zanpakuto’s materialized form different from the real ones, because nobody really knows what they look like (‘xept Zangetsu, Zabimaru and Hyourinmaru).
