Episode 231: Byakuya, Disappearing with the Cherry Blossoms
Rukia manages to escape to the human world after she and the rest of the Shinigami got their collective asses whooped by their own zanpakutos. It seems zanpakutos in the real world are fine, so Yoruichi asks Urahara to investigate the matter. Rukia is worried about Byakuya who went missing in the earlier battle; she hasn’t figured out yet that it’s a stupid filler episode and none of the main cast are in any mortal danger. Rukia sneaks back to Soul Society to look for her brother, Ichigo gets all gung ho and goes after her with Yoruichi.

I actually like this arc… Are the three Zanpakuto’s that supposedly sealed Yamamoto Ukitake’s, Shunsui’s, and Unohana’s?
The fact that Yamamoto’s Zanpakuto was unwilling to betray him, or so strong that he was uninfluenced by that what that guy is probably doing to them, just pays tribute to his power. I’d love to see just how strong and what Yammamoto’s Zanpakuto looks like. Also i wonder how Zangetsu will react now that Ichigo is in soul society…
