“We won’t even have to move a finger.” Asshole Aizen. He’s gonna have to fight full-out from now on, or he’s dead meat. I can understand Stark dying, but why did Hallibel have to die? She wasn’t at all an eyesore!
Now, on to the main event – Stark and Lilynee are dead! Killed by just one hit from Kyouraku’s ridiculously powerful shikai, the Primera remember the day they met Aizen. Judging from the lack of glasses on the later’s face, that happened only a month or so before the current events. It is unclear how many years/months ago Lilynette and Stark separated, but it is clear that both of them were very miserable, being all alone. All of their friends die just from being near them and hat is how Aizen finds them – all alone near huge piles of dead Hollows. 
It is only natural that Stark would seek an alliance with Aizen – strong souls usually connect to each other, not to mention that anything would be better than being all alone with a female child version of yourself.
After separating his soul, Stark makes a promise to Lilynette that they’ll always be together. He remembers his friends and his debt to Aizen, who rid him of the curse that was his loneliness. The Primera falls to the ground, dead. His end is one of the most dramatic amongst the Espada, who have fallen so far. It reminds me of the way Chouji almost died in the “Rescue Sasuke ark” in “NARUTO”.
Kyouraku doesn’t say a word as he watches his enemy’s death. Love appears behind him, thanking him for his aid, yet criticizing the way he interfered in the battle. Shunsui, even though he appeared as quite the ruthless killer in last chapter, actually really is against fighting, and especially killing, but his years of experience have thought him that it is his duty as Captain to win at any cost.
The author takes us to the last remaining Espada in Karakura town – Hallibel. She has no problem holding off her three opponents, while they’re still fighting without power-ups, but after they all release their zanpakutos and the to female Vizards put on their masks, she is completely outmatched.
Lisa’s sword is named Haguro Tonbo (“Blacktooth Dragonfly”) and is released by the command “smash”, while Hiyori’s is “Carve to pieces Kubikiri Orochi” (“Beheading Serpent”). Both swords seem quite potent, and are, not surprisingly, power-type weapons, just like all of the Vizards’ (except Rose’s) weapons so far. With the sudden increase in power, they manage to push Hallibel back, which must really piss Azien off, because he just appears beside her and kills her, Zoro style (Take out sword, slash, put away sword, all in a second).
While it’s true that she’s at the end of her usefulness, she could’ve remained as a sex-servant, at least. Or maybe she stinks like dead fish too much? I thought wenches like that disappeared in the 19 century… Anyway, she’s dead, so all we’ve got now is Hiyori… Yay???
At the very end of the chapter, Aizen calls out to Gin and Tousen , with orders to “go”. Now, “go” kill everybody, or “go” somewhere else to fulfill our evil plans? I don’t think we’ll find out soon, ’cause it fells like Unohana vs. Yammi is about to start.
One last thing there is to notice – about who’s a Vasto Lorde and who isn’t, it seems Stark wasn’t unmasked by the Hougyoku, like Wonderweiss, (and I suspect Grimmjaw) yet his form is quite human.

Well at least we know for sure how a dude like Starrk managed to become the Primera when badasses and demons like Grimmjow and Ulquiorra were around. It was because he was already an Arrancar so Aizen didnt need to use the Hyogyoku on him. Based on Starrk’s power, I really hope Yammy isn’t the most powerful. I mean, who the hell would wanna use that meat head as a fallback? Please let him just be big and not give Renji, Chad, Rukia, etc. any real trouble.

I think Yammy is freaking strong. But his intelligence and sheer size of the fella is gonna be his downfall.
Why are so many still utterly convinced that its ‘just’ Kyouraku’s Shikai. Oh well.
Aizen’s ‘plan of attack’ is a hard one to figure out. He said the same thing before when he brought in Wonderweiss and pal. And they got swiped, but brought out the Vizard in return.
Even Tho There are only three people left we have no way of knowing what Aizen is still capable off. Kyoka Suigetsu seems to be flawless and right now the only person who isnt captured by its abilities is Kaname. He has a path of his own but still firmly believes that Aizen’s path is the one with the least violence(AS we’ve seen how lovely everthing went so far…).
I hope we get a glimpse of what Aizen’s next move will be. Or this chapter might be the switching point for another trip to Las Noches. I would be intresting to see Unohana have a brawl with Jammy. If she has great healing abilities maybe she can do the exact opposite aswell.

Magnus: exatcly!! wtf kubo!? although i thought that starrks death was very emotional, i am pissed that kyoraku killed starrk without even showing his bankai! i mean comon the second( if you count zero Yammi) strongest espada dies to a shikai? even for a powerfull shikai like that it makes starrk seem pathetic that he couldent even make them use bankai. Damn it kubo first Ulquiorra now starrk. both my favorite espada are dead! T-T

what the hell, what’s the point of the espada if they’re just going to be killed off like flies here. What was the point of Aizen making/recruiting all those arrancar? Can’t believe he’s now even killing them himself, poor Halibel, I’ll miss your big… eyes.

Ah, this is actually the first time I’ve ever pointed out a similarity between Bleach and any other manga, but whatever…
Also, I think Stark was killed by a shikai to compete the similarity:
#9 – Death by powerful shikai
#8 – weird ability (superhuman drug)
#7 – Death in the name of Aizen (self-proclaimed)
#6 – Ichigo
#5 – Kenpachi’s sealed sword (turning point)
#4 – Ichigo
#3 – Death in the name of Aizen (forceful)
#2 – weird ability (barriers)
#1 – Death by powerful shikai
So that means Yachiru’s gonna kill Yammi with a single stare.

Aizen sucks! I really wanted to see that cat fight (okay maybe only harribel and lisa) and he goes and kills her. Asshole. He could’ve at least keep her as a maid or something.
I agree that unohana is going to kick yammys ass. If i remember correctly hey shikai was a huge sea cat. I guess her bankai is going to get the job done.

Good job Byakushi.
I don’t think Starrk went all out in this battle, compare his performance to Arrancars like Cirucci Thunderwich and Barragan, they went ALL OUT to win. First off, Starrk was very unenthusiastic and second he didn’t even want to fight anyone. He probably just died because of his laziness *sigh*. Barragan’s performance was far more impressive than Starrk’s at first glance, but it isn’t though. Starrk fought 4 Captain-level Shinigami and bested all but one of them (Kyoraku). Barragan was dominating a Captain and two Lieutenants (if you can call Omaeda a lieutenant *sigh*). If we learned anything at all is that Shunsui is on a whole other level than the other Captains.
Well at least we get to see Tosen in action now. The fact that Tite included him in this battle means he must have some new tricks…..

I don’t think Tousen has anything new. For one thing, his bankai is stronger than than all of the Vizards before they got “masked”. The fact that Kenpachi made him look like a kicked puppy doesn’t mean the rest of the Captains are gonna beat him up with ease.

Anybody think Kibo is purposely rushing the plot here? Even battles with low rank arrancar lasted longer than some of these top tier epsadas’ fights. I wonder why though, I thought the pacing was alright. Is he being told to do so by editors?

I don’t know j about tosens bankai. Sure he got the vaizard when they were still shinigami, but they didn’t see it coming. Maybe now, they will unleash their bankais too (the captains at least). I’d like to think they haven’t spent 100 years with their thumb up their asses and trained specifically to counter aizen, tosen, and gin.

Bob I dont think he is rushing the plot. If anything there is a crap load happening too soon. I mean wasn’t the big battle supposed to happen in the winter? And yet Aizen is quickly losing all his forces. He’s got, what, Yammy, Grimmjow, Gin, Tousen, and whatever is left of Rudobon and his minions. As badass as he is supposed to be, theres gotta be a reason for him to have an army, otherwise he could just erase the town, make the key, kill the king or whatever and he wins.

“The fact that Kenpachi” I disagree J, I think the other captains may have formulated a plan to take on Gin, Tousen, and Aizen, do you really think Yammamoto wouldn’t ask Kenpachi about their weaknesses? Aizen might be countered by closing your eyes, or Toshiro could use ice to reflect Aizen’s Shikai (not sure how it would work, but generaly). I think they went in their with a plan to take on Aizen, Gin, and Tousen instead of just charging in. (I also think Uruhara could make a fake set of eyes to counter Aizen)

Well I think Tosen has a new ability, I think the same is true for Gin and Aizen. Why would Tite bring him back to battle if he didn’t have new tricks? It would be just filler and unsurprising to anyone reading- one word, boring. But if he doesn’t have a new ability, it’ll depend on who is opponent is. For example, if Ichigo had faced an opponent like Szayel Aporro Granz (I only said his full name because I like saying it lol), he would have most certainly lost. Right now, Tosen would be more than a match for most Captains anyway (because of fighting the Fraccions and the Espada).

Tousen really does need some new tricks. If Komamura releases his Bankai again, its size would be bigger than the balloon like tent he had before. Not sure how if it can actually rip to shredss by force… but still.
Maybe Aizen is trying to force out the Zero squad by slowly but steadily squeezing and the Shinigami’s. I dont think Aizen shikai can be counterd by Toshiro thou. If Toshiro could have done it, he would habe gone straight for Aizen. I think he’s out for a spot of revenge aswell. Hell, he even asked the Vaizard if they could handle nr. #3 so he could get a crack at him.
Anyway, if Aizen manages to draw out the illusive Zero squad it would mean he has a way to enter the Dimension of the spirit king. Thus not having to bother to create a key at all. Hell he didnt wait for the hougyoku to awaken either… so why not.
Every objective he has been given the Shinigami has been, what you could say, an Illusion. He still is one or two steps ahead to whatever SS and the Vaizards think he’s gonna do.

Toshiro was just an example, the one i really expect to have a counter is Yammamoto, I expect him to either trty to evaporate the technique or use some kind of “heat sensing” ability
