Bleach Chapter 377 – Shout at the Dark
*eyes pop out* Too good to be real… Bleach is once again on a rampage with this week’s plot development. A new bankai, a “good guy” getting 99% killed and Ichigo reappearing after 20 chapters.
First, it’s where we left off last week – the battle between Kensei and Wonderweiss. As practically everybody predicted, Kensei got pissed off enough to use his bankai. Which should mean that we’re going to see Wonderweiss’s Ressureccion pretty soon.
Kensei’s bankai is called “Tekken Tachikaze” – “Iron Fist Slicing Wind” and as you can see, it looks sorta like a miniature version of Ikkaku’s bankai and at the same time as fist-shaped assassin blades. Both the Vizard and the Arrancar scream at each other, giving an attack warning. It seems obvious that this won’t be a battle of brains, but of pure, raw, animalistic strength.
Meanwhile Aizen faces off everyone of the remaining good guys in Karakura town. After giving another one of his provocative speeches, the first victim of the long awaited slaughter has become clear – it’s Hiyori. Even though Shinji warned her countless times not to charge in without a plan, she gave into Aizen’s teasing and got cut in half by Gin’s shikai.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Ichimaru Gin is the most brutal character in Bleach. For him killing is nothing more than serving a customer and he even encourages more of his opponents to come be his “clients”. At first I thought this was some sort of magic show – Hiyori here, Hiyori there – but it wasn’t a magician, it was just good (?????) ol’ Ichimaru. poor girl, doesn’t know what hit ‘er.
Shocked at the sight in front of him, Hirako barely manages to scream his bff’s name before catching the upper part of her body in midair. He calls her name several times, before she’s finally able to whisper a few words of apology for her own stupidity. As you can see on the picture below, Hiyori’s legs just sit there quietly, showing disapproval of her actions.
Hirako calls out to Hacchi for help, but when he sees that his comrade has lost an arm (and therefore his ability to use healing barriers), he starts panicking. A lot. The only person he can think of, who might be able to save Hiyori is Orihime. He wonders why Ichigo still hasn’t returned with her from Hueco Mundo and in an act of complete despair he calls out to Ichigo for help.
Of course, Ichigo is already well on his way to Karakura town, he just has to get past Yammi, who’s waiting at the bottom of the tower the strawberry’s running on. It’s a bit sad to see Hirako dropping to Orihime’s level and just screaming for Ichigo to save the world. Can’t wait to see Yamamoto begging Ichigo for his aid… Hopefully we won’t get to see something like that.
Next chapter – will it be Yammi vs. Unohana or maybe Ichigo? The continued Kensei vs. Wonderweiss battle and the Arrancar’s ressureccion? Or Urahara and co. arriving in Karakura town? Personally I hope for all three in a parallel story line.
Oh, also, starting this week, I’ve decided to renew the musical part to the chapter analysis. This week it’s a song from “High and Mighty Color”(the guys who did the 3rd Bleach opening)’s newest album.

well the poor girly was his lieutenant i doubt he’ll stand and watch as she gets her body chopped up in two.

Bleach is again interesting..thank God..it was about time to Aizen and Gin make their moves. Can’t wait to see Ichigo vs Gin fight…our boy will kick his ass ..BIG time.

It seems Ichigo is still in Hueco Mundo. So I reckon, time wise, Ichigo is moving down to Espada #0. If so… He’s bound to take on Yammy.. so that probably means no Unohana vs. Yammy..
Kensei’s bankai does resemble Ikkaku’s a bit. Except Kensei isnt as stupid smuck like him. Which is another hooray! I wonder if Tite has the balls to let Hiyori die. Probably not, because i doubt Kira can do it. besides, he still has his hands full with Matsumoto, Hinamori and Ukitake.
And finally Gin Shikai again…. Its been too long. Aizen still didnt have to lift a finger against SS and the Vaizard.

Yeah, there’s been some serious slicing and dicing going on in the last couple of chapters, but I gotta say Hiyori’s is the most gruesome so far. Looks like it’s time for the Vizards to lose a few from their ranks.

Hiyori can die peacefully. Remember when inoue restored that arrancar girl after grimmjow erased her with a cero. She’ll do the same again.
I think the anime will censor this just like it did when asuma decapitated hidan.

I dont really consider this as Shinji calling for help the way orihime did, he is just yelling at ichigo to hurry up and get back with orihime, seince he wants her to save hiyori. he isnt actually asking for help.
as for the rest of the chapter im actually quite torn. on the one hand if hiyori dies then that would mean that a good guy Finally died in bleach. on the other hiyori and shinji are my two favorite vizards and i dont want either of them to die!T_T why couldnt kubo do this to love or rose, i dont care about them!

also when was it stated that hachi could not heal if he is missing an arm? i dont remember that being mentioned in any previous chapters.

It never was.. But seeing the expression on Hacchi’s face it does seem he is incapable of healing. Maybe he needs two hands in combination with an incantation to form the proper barriers or whatnot.
Besides, I think Ichigo is still back in Hueco Mundo. Its about time for Urahara to shine and open a garganta for all the fella’s in Hueco Mundo.

it was never stated, but i’m pretty sure that if shinji resorts to orihime, he knows hachi enough to know that he is currently unable to heal.
unfortunately i don’t even think we will get to see all these people taking on aizen. i could be wrong, but i think first the fight with wonderweiss will happen, then it will panel over to las noches to finish yammi, and then when ichigo and whoever finally figures out how to get to fake kurakura, they will arive to see everyone fallen and aizen standing in the middle. sounds like something tite would do.

Unohana, I’m interested to see her abilities, I hope she isn’t the bleach equivelent of a sakura/tsunade. If she took out Yammi or returned to the SS fight it would be sweet, I’m hoping she’s a more powerfull version of the scalpel guy/uses healing as a weapon/disolves people with her manta-Ray Bankai

I dont think Kensei’s bankai looks like Ikkaku’s. It looks more like Gantenbine’s resurreccion to me. I don’t care to see Ichigo fight Yammy, but what i DO want to see is if Grimmjow’s alive.
