Bleach Episode 250 – “That Man, for the Sake of the Kuchiki”

In a flashback several centuries ago, it is revealed that Kouga was part of the Kuchiki Clan as Ginrei Kuchiki’s son-in-law, and was overconfident in the abilities of his zanpakuto. He helped put down a rebellion of Soul Reapers, but some grew suspicious of his power, and had him attacked. He cut down his attackers, but was framed for killing his own allies by a group of jealous high-ranking Soul Reapers. He was imprisoned as a result, but escaped with Muramasa’s help. In the present, Kouga awakens, repelling Ichigo and Rukia, then suddenly stabs Muramasa.

Poor Kouga. This is obviously why Byakuya is aiding Muramasa, but I wonder what he plans to do once he finds Kouga.

The captains back then were pretty lame.

REvenge for his elder perhaps? Perhaps restore a certain part of honor by defeating Kouga, we’re not sure how SS history has written down these events.

I mean the Central 46 arent all too noble at time, like with the whole existence of a place like the ‘Rats Nest’.

Poor Muramasa! he trys so hard to help Kouga, goes through this whole arc to get him back, and then gets stabbed as soon as he reunites with him!? ouch. This episode was awesome, kuchiki clan is obviiously bad family, first byakuya and him being okay with rukia’s execution, and now douchbag grampa is okay with kouga being framed by the higher ups.

Takashi, Gramps wasn’t okay with Kouga getting framed. If you watch after he walks away from Kouga’s chamber he thinks to himself that he has to hurry to set things right if he is going to save Kouga. I actually think things might have ended up alright in the end if it were left in gramps hands. Gramps was acting like he didn’t care to teach Kouga a lesson, to act like a noble even in severe consequences. But damn Muramasa showed up and broke Kouga out, stirring up trouble which is probably what actually led Kouga into being sealed away.
