Bleach Chapter 392 – The Breaking Glaciers
I gotta say – this has been the best issue of Shounen Jump in history. Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, even Reborn – all brilliant chapters.

However most of them have really hit rock bottom when it comes to positivity. Killing popular characters like Hinamori and Ace (or converting them into evil ones, like Sasuke and Sakura) is not fan-pleasing at all, Mr. Kishimoto, Mr. Kubo and Mr. Oda.
Now to get more specific – Bleach. Hinamori was killed. FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this for 125097235678971 chapters! She’s the most annoying character in Bleach. In a powerhouse manga like this, she’s totally out of place. Good riddance, I just hope she stays dead this time.
This week Kubo gives us a color page, showing what battles in Bleach were voted the best. Although it’s no surprise to see Ichigo take all top four places, it is surprising to see that Kenpachi vs. Ichigo is missing from the top 10. And quite honestly I didn’t expect Byaku-chan to actually get ahead of Ulqui-chan in the polls, but the Japanese kids just think that Ichigo’s bankai is more awesome than his hollow.
This chapter had 24 pages, but still felt a lot shorter than the previous ones -half of it was spent in rejoicing over Aizen’s defeat. But unfortunately it turned out Aizen had just switched places with the injured Hinamori. It must have been right after Komamura was cut down and everything after happened in an instant. Hence Ichigo had no time to react and tell the 4 Captains they were actually targeting Hinamori. Another possibility is that Ichigo is also under hypnosis, but is being led to think he isn’t.

Anyways, Aizen reveals that he’s been using hypnosis ever since he drew his sword three chapters ago. That would mean that maybe he wasn’t as powerful in hand to hand combat as we were made to believe. But that’s also proven wrong at the end of the chapter when Aizen cuts down all of his opponents in an instant. Or maybe he cut them before that, but they were under hypnosis, so they didn’t realize. In any case, this is getting almost ridiculous.
When everybody got mad over Hinamori being switched and becoming an innocent victim, I thought they’d let their guard down and Aizen would take them out one by one. Instead all four of them, and even Kira and Iba got owned in a single hit. There is only positive thing about this – if Ichigo is still not under hypnosis and he’s being underestimated by Aizen, then that gives him a chance to be one of the few survivors the Karakura Arc.
Now, as for this picture, it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone go this berserk in Bleach. Toushiro’s anger has gone beyond anything imaginable or comparable until now. If he survives this fight, I think he’ll have some deep emotional trauma. Right now he’s barely human already; I’m surprised he didn’t explode and form a small ice mushroom. His reaction is too predictable, even though it fits his character perfectly. Oda left a much better cliff-hanger in One Piece. If there’s one thing I’ve learned this week, it’s don’t kill the main character’s sibling. It’s really scary.
Oh, yeah, what’s even scarier – no Bleach chapter next week.

i agree, good riddance 2 hinamori. Aizen just hates her lol.
pissed there isn’t gna b a new bleach chapter nxt week. I don’t think toshirou is gna die, tho he’s getting annoying now as well.

mm i have my doubts about this chapter. the limitations of his hypnosis are very confusing. by all accounts it’s been him the entire fight up until that blow. his anger at being cut seemed pretty genuine. if it was hinamori she wouldn’t have been able to stand up to a single one of the people aizen took out. knowing her background and aizen’s messed up purgatives, i wouldn’t be surprised if it was some sort of body replacement kido or something.
if we saw the fight from ichigo’s perspective things would make much more sense. like maybe he shouted at them because aizen actually escaped from the ice and created a opening with hinamori. something about the situation isn’t right and i personally think that he was actually injured somewhere in there.

btw, why have only a few of the captain class fighters released their bankai on their strongest opponent yet? i was totally expecting them all to go bankai before they were cut down but only hitsugaya and komamura did while the rest just used shikai. maybe kubo thought it was being dragged out too long?

@cesc – go to shannaro.wordpress.com it is a naruto site by the same owner (Bob) as this one. a naruto discussion comes out once a week, but there are plenty of other blogs too.
gj J, but you really think this was shonens best issue ever? idk, but it was good. I’m not that worried about momo dying, better her than somebody important. and i’m sure ichigo yelled for them to stop even earlier, but aizen’s shikai prevented them from hearing it until he wanted them too. he basically does have God-like abilities to all those trapped within. Like you, i don’t think this battle will be the final one, but rather Aizen’s “trimming down” of the Gotei. I think he already has chosen who he wants to survive this fight, and is just having his fun until he ultimately tries to rid of the rest.
Usually when characters in a shonen manga experience what Toshiro just did, they get super-powerful all of a sudden… guess not Hitsu lol.

” but you really think this was shonens best issue ever?”
Ah, man, if you’re a One Piece fan, you’d know what I’m talking about.
“i think maybe hitsuguya is gonna abondon soul society and get evil like sasuke…plus get hollow powers 0_0″
Yes, that actually does sound very plausible. He could use a few years training in Hueco Mundo, a well.

I want to see ichigo train with the hollows for a while
I agree with ssj, J, and I read OP, the face at the end was more of a holy shit what just happened rather than a super killing mode face.

i think itchi may have another form yet to b seen.
so his latest form is a vaste lorde, which is a mindless hollow. and the arrancar is a more civilized nad stronger version of it.
i think ichigo’s vaste lorde can evolve into an arrancar once he gains full controll of it.
just a theory, wat do ya think?
By Pretend3r, February 15, 2010 @ 5:38 pm
@sesc: So Ichigo goes from Human – Borrowed Shingami – Human – Shinagami – Hollow – Vaizard – ‘mindless’ hollow etc etc
If anything he’ll end up as a true neo-vizard. A natural born, perfect hybrid between Shinigami.
As for the chapter.. Aizen is crazy ass strong… I wonder if he is actually trying to ‘lure’ the Zero squad to SS rather then creating the a key. Either way would suit his needs.
As for Ichigo being under influence. No… not yet anyway. The sword has te be released for him to fall under its power. And Aizen hasnt called out his swords name yet, thus Ichigo’s isnt under his spell yet. And for that matter I doubt that Aizen is just out there to get Ichigo to reach his ‘maximum’ potential.

my theory…… true Aizen has had them under an illusion from the start maybe none of the espada r dead yet……hmmmmm jus a random 4t….aizen is the maaaaaan cant w8 2 c Gin in sum real action….

“my theory…… true Aizen has had them under an illusion from the start maybe none of the espada r dead yet……hmmmmm jus a random 4t….aizen is the maaaaaan cant w8 2 c Gin in sum real action….” why would he have killed the third espada then? that makes no sense. He obviously wanted to see the strength of the Espada himself to see if they were usefull/of value.
