Bleach Chapter 394 – The Burnout Inferno 2
It’s just like most of us speculated last week – Yamamoto truly is a monster, even without his sword. Like he says to Aizen – the fact that he’s been the commander of the Gotei 13 for 1000 years, means that during these 100 years a stronger being hasn’t been born. In this chapter Wonderweiss looked like nothing more than a retarded octopus. Too bad the chapter itself only lasted about 5 seconds.
Aizen explains that in order to achieve Wonderweiss’ abilities, a few things had to be sacrificed – the Arrancar’s intelligence, memories, language and maybe even his potency. But Aizen seems very confident, that even though Wonderweiss is a moron, his ability to neutralize Ryuujin Jakka makes up for it a hundred fold. Or rather e underestimates Yamamoto by thinking that his main source of power is his sword.
Well, the Captain-commander displays beautifully that such accusations are complete bullshit. With a single punch Yamamoto makes Winderwiess a second hole, a much bigger one than his original hollow hole, and sends him flying all the way across town. He doesn’t waste any time and goes straight to the next target – Aizen. I would’ve loved to see that asshole’s face get squished like a lemon, but unfortunately – no dice. Apparently Wonderweiss is one of the few Arrancars, like Ulquiorra, who’s retained his instant regeneration ability. He just manages to get between Yamamoto’s fist and Aizen’s head, forcing the old man to jump back a couple of feet.
It becomes clear to Yamamoo, that even though Wonderweiis is strong and can regenerate, he not only lacks speech, but any common sense at all. The poor thing doesn’t even have a basic defensive or offensive strategy. Except killing everything in sight.

The battle between the two rages on, but Yamamoto obviously has the upper hand. After a couple of useless barrages, Wonderweiss loses an arm, but instead grows a million more. Very convenient. He traps Yama-jii and gives him quite a trashing, but it’s again completely ineffective – the old man only suffers a few minor scratches. Ripping off the hollow’s two original arms, he prepares a finishing attack.

For the very first time Wonderweiss looks worried and with good reason – just imagine – if Yamamoto’s one hand punch was able to almost cut the Arrancar in half, the “Twin Bone” (Soukotsu) technique will probably put him out of commission. At the very least, he’s going to end up looking like Hiyori.
So, new answers and new questions – if Wonderweiss is so much weaker that Yamamoto and Yamamoto can obviously handle both the Arrancar and even Aizen, then is this the end of Aizen’s plan? Unless someone goes bankai, Wonderweiss has a second ressureccion, or Yama-jii gets a stroke, a heart attack and kidney and liver failure at the same time, then this is pretty much the end of the Karakura Arc. What plot twist will Kubo Tite come up with for the next chapter?

“…and maybe even his potency” – hahaha lets hope so.
“then this is pretty much the end of the Karakura Arc” – not necessarily. i’m a big yama fan, and admire his strength as much as the next guy, but even though his power eclipses the likes of even aizen there are several factors to be taken into account. Aizen still has him under hypnosis. Also both he and Gin still have bankai, and probably hollow powers. It is possible that that combination could overpower Yama. But Ichigo is still there if he ever gets his thumb out of his ass…

1st: I don’t think ww is dead
2nd: even if he is, this doesn’t mean aizen’s failure. this is aizen we are talking about, I’m pretty sure that while aizen yama without RJ. remember, yama is still under the spell of KS

Yama is gonna die afer doing SOME damage to Aizen. Its a rule of manga that the “old master” type usually die fighting the Big Bad, but manage to do a little damage before kicking the bucket, thus establishing how powerful the enemy is and leaves him for the protagonist to finish off.

Damn! This old dude is tough. Did Ukitake and Kyoraku know how strong he is when they tried taking him on? I mean, Yama watched his captains get decimated by one person and still proposes that Aizen still not as strong as he is. Now, if Yama is unable to discern illusion from reality due to Aizen’s spell, then that would be lame. I think with a thousand year experience and heading the Gotei 13, Yama not only knows his captains strengths as well as their weaknesses. Also, compared to the Hokages of Narutoverse, they get old and weak. They eventually become political figures. Sure, their skills were once fearsome but they eventually fade. Shinigamis do not age and clearly just get stronger. I know that Ichigo still needs to get into the action and probably the one to beat Aizen. Hopefully, Yama does not just end up being a sacrificial lamb.

you say that, but then you don’t leave a meaningful comment?

I think Aizen’s actions reveal a lot about himself. He went to great lengths to neutralize Yamma’s sword because of his own dependancy. I think if someone on equal footing could nuetralize KS then he would easily be defeated, and that Ichigo will train to acheive something like this.
By Karijow, March 6, 2010 @ 11:20 am
wow mart, I never looked at it like that. But then again, Aizen did say he had reached the pinnacle (or at least as far as HE could go) in all forms of Shinigami combat, so just neutralizing Kyoka Suigetsu wouldnt ensure his defeat.
By ssj, March 6, 2010 @ 11:57 am
whats funny to me is how like you said, aizen claims he has reached the limitations of all shinigami combat. but then yamamoto, who only uses shinigami tactics, is apparently far stronger than aizen. or at least aizen while he isn’t using hollow powers. that only leads me to believe that even though aizen is some self-proclaimed “god,” yamamoto’s potential far surpasses his.

“wow mart, I never looked at it like that. But then again, Aizen did say he had reached the pinnacle (or at least as far as HE could go) in all forms of Shinigami combat, so just neutralizing Kyoka Suigetsu wouldnt ensure his defeat.” HE said that, but his whole personality is that of a liar (just look at his sword once again). He needed it earlier in the fight, and I’m not sure how long he was using it or how much. (he could have used it before his big trick)

Aizen’s true power doesnt lie all that much in his physical strength. The need for Wonderweiss and the strength display of Yamamoto is easy proof of that. The current problem we still have is, that as long as Aizen is around. The only other person who can still confirm what’s going is Ichigo. Since Aizen can manipulate everyone else(including the reading when the others are involved). This imho makes it hard to guess what is going on. I mean, Aizen screwed everyone by letting Hinamori take a fatal blow.
If Aizen indeeds needs to retreat he can easily do it. Ichigo may be strong enough in theory. But his resolve is still to weak. So i dont believe his full-body’ hollow form will show up anytime soon. Hell If Aizen’s attempt to make the key fails, he could still try and lure the Royal Guard to either SS or the REal world and use that chance to strike.
By mart1, March 6, 2010 @ 4:02 pm
Consider this… With Aizen’s power, it’s almost imposible to beat him if you’ve seen KS, BUT obviously Ichigo HASN’T seen it. Most of us agree that the Hinamori switch had to happen fast because otherwise Ichigo would have “noticed,” this means most think that that was the only time he used KS, but what if he used it the whole fight (except against Ichigo’s first attack and a few other places) so that the captains didn’t sense him approach or missed him just slightly. To Ichigo, it would appear that Aizen was a Shinigami GOD, far outmatching the other captains. J-A-T.

I’m still convinced he was wounded before the himamori transfer. The fight so far has been a lot like Pain’s fight (before naruto came) because even though everyone is losing to aizen they’re still revealing his power a lit bit every time he uses it. except here instead of tsunade protecting the village yamma was willing to sacrifice everyone haha. And with such a high stakes fight i think it’s been wayy too many chapter since i’ve seen the word “BANKAI”. or was that “hellfire” attack he was using considered to be it?

i heard rumors that when ichigo and co. went origionally to hueco mundo that they left, keigo, that other guy and tatsuki were left in urahara’s basement (heehee) that urarahara was like we have work to do i heard form a source that urahara turned them into soul reapers! and when are they coming to assist? Maybe we get to see urahara’s bankai soo (crosses fingers)

i thot yama founded the gotei 13…i thinks it wud be a serious plot hole if aizen made the mistake of beleiving he cud get rid of yama by juss killing his shikai…
By Pretend3r, March 8, 2010 @ 2:36 pm
@pablorkins: Its not a rumor. A fact indeed. Urahara let them take a peak of what Ichigo truely is up to. And as for turning them into Shinigami.. that would make urahara a bigger asshole than Aizen.. At least as far as Ichigo would be concerned anyway.
By ssj, March 8, 2010 @ 5:46 pm
pabloperkins – i wouldn’t trust any rumors that aren’t direct facts from the manga. almost anything you read on the internet from some source that claims to have an inside scoop is usually bullshit. and i am pretty sure urahara wouldn’t turn them into shinigami. they wouldn’t necessarily be capable (ichigo barely managed and hes like uber-special) plus they wouldn’t be 1/1000000 strong enough to fight anybody in this battle yet. the notion is ridiculous. urahara himself could help though
Madara Uchiha – Yamamoto founded the shinigami academy something like 2100 years ago, where he was an instructor for 1100 years. not the entire gotei 13.
