Bleach Chapter 407 – Deicide 9
Finally the best plot development!! Aizen has made his first mistake. Destroying the Koutotsu -at first glance not even related to the story itself, just might turn this entire war around (or it could turn out to be part of Aizen’s plan, just like everything else until now). I mean, I’m all hyped up about Ichigo finally learning a new technique, but I would’ve been even happier if it wasn’t called Getsuga Tenshou. Seriously, Kubo, change at least one letter in it, c’mooon!! If it was Gatsuga or Gatsutsu, or even Gaga, it would still be fine. *sigh* I guess I’ll just have to keep hoping.
Well, like I said, Ichigo wouldn’t have even been able to learn the final Getsuga Tenshou, had it not been for Aizen’s hubris. In his aim to prove himself above all beings, he killed the protector of the Precipice world, which had the purpose of chasing out things that overstayed their welcome. With this Ichigo was provided with a place where time doesn’t run, so he can trein for 50 years, if he wants to, and still arrive in Karakura Town before Aizen and Gin. When you take into consideration the fact that Ichigo has the potential to stand up to Aizen, then a little training should do miracles for the boy.
It’s too bad that the tension between Aizen and Gin is growing. Aizen is at the point where he’s far surpassed reas onable power quantities, while Gin, even though he’s exceptionally strong, is till only Captain level, or slightly better. I was actually surprised to see that Gin is afraid of something, even if it is a destructive force like Aizen or the Koutotsu. Aizen gave him a really mean look twice in this chapter, which means Gin is now only one mean look away from death. That would be really troublesome as Gin is a far more interesting villain than Aizen.
Just look at Aizen – what kinda villain is he? He is super smart. He has a super shikai that is absolutely unstoppable. He has more reiatsu than any of the other captains. He has now obtained telekinesis on top of everything. I mean that’s just too fuckin’ much. Just as he says, he’s really on the edge of reason. That is what you would a “buttpenis”, not a real villain. For only a buttpenis is on the edge of reason, since you’d have to be really fuckin’ crazy to believe a buttpenis exists, or that Kubo isn’t hiding something from us.
I was thinking about how Ichigo and Isshin can have the same ability. At first I assumed they were father and son, but then I re-read the chapters with Ichigo fighting his inner hollow and something new came to me. It seems that Zangetsu just disappeared all of a sudden. The hollow said it himself – he just vanished at some point. And time-wise that was at the same time Isshin recovered his shinigami powers. This seems like a long shot, but there could be some link between these events. In any case, if Ichigo is about to learn the final Getsuga, then that means there are most probably 3 types – white, black and mysterious, of which he have so far seen the black and white ones. It also means that Ichigo actually had two techniques, not just one. The white Getsuga was only used in shikai mode, while the black one was only used in bankai mode. Then the third one must be like adding the power of another bankai in the mix.
But I think the most important thing this chapter was about Ichigo – how quickly he gave up after seeing Aizen wipe the floor with a bunch of amateurs, who didn’t even use bankai against someone, who is obviously stronger than them. And how quickly he forgot that Aizen was going to destroy Karakura Town. I mean that’s not the type of thing one would forget, right? It took a whole lecture from Isshin to knock some sense into this idiot.
IT’S ALL UP TO KEIGO NOW!!!! He’s the only one who can save Karakura town now! And lucky for him, Aizen and Gin don’t even suspect he exists. I’m sure his non-existant bankai can stop Gin and Aizen until Ichigo arrives….*sigh* Last week, I thought the Deicide had ended, yet it continues. I guess Kubo got tired of thinking up new names. Well, whatever, I don’t really care about that much, but I’m pretty certain about one thing – “Dark Side Of The Universe 4″ and “Black and White 4″ are just around the corner.

another form of hyperbolic time chamber….these authors need to become more original…even though it does sound awesome for ichigo

yup, a hyperbolic time chamber, fun.
i’m so pissed, none of the top captains and vizards showed their bankai. come on, how could they just give up without trying their most powerful forms?? especially urohara, kyoraku, the always sick white haird captain, the leader of the vizards and most importantly the captain commander.
kubo is doing this on purpose too. i smell foul here, he’s cheated. WE WANT TO SEE BANKAIS. kyoraku would have much too easily defeated the #1 arranca if he had used his bankai, but he did not!!

When did mullets become a sign of divinity? Who knew Billy Ray was God?
The butt penis really put it in perspective for me.

I’m sorry but I have to play conspiracy theorist juuust for a little bit.
So, in Deicide 8, Isshin and Urahara had a conversation in which Isshin said something along the lines of him (Isshin) not being able to understand Aizen’s power when he hit him, but only someone like him, could gauge his power. Meaning, someone who is either a god or someone who has the potential to reach godhood.
Someone like Ichigo perhaps?
I don’t really know if anyone else caught on, but in Deicide 9, during Ichigo and Isshin’s conversation about protecting Karakura town, Ichigo said there was no way they could defeat someone with reiatsu like that. It seemed as if Isshin had an epiphany of sorts, realizing that the only person that could defeat Aizen really is Ichigo. Not just because Ichigo hasn’t seen Kyoka Suigetsu’s ability, but more so because Aizen and Ichigo reside on the same tier of power…
Maybe he’s teaching him the final Getsuga as a way to tap into that power…
Like I said, conspiracy theory, had to do it. Thanks for listening!!!

sooo i wonder if ichigo’s gonna have long hair when he exits the hyperbolic time chamber…wait there’s no time in there…

i think the biggest part of this chapter was the fact that ichigo could NOT understand aizen’s reiatsu, and that’s when ishin had an epiphony that they could win in some way. ichigo probably can’t understand it yet because he’s more human than hollow, and it seems to me that his power isnt fully resolved yet.
his mask seems like it has no gas, and all of his friends have gained powers by being “around him” but personally I think they’re part of his power, with chad obviously having hollow powers and orihime having a shinigami like hair pin that keeps her powers like a zanpakuto (and i’m still waiting for her power equivalent to bankai).
so ishin has the first bankai 2 eh? should be interesting. just who the hell is he?
By uchiha_gaiden, June 11, 2010 @ 1:21 pm
as a side…chad and orihime are basically ichigo’s fraccion hahah

Aizen is feeling too good about himself, probably for good reason. Him taking out that thing is probably establishing to himself that is he god, and all creatures that dare to impose anything other than his self(with the slight exeption of Gin perhaps) get destroyed.
The koutatsu tried to tell God to move… well he didnt.
As for Ichigo finally learning a new attack.. About freaking time indeed. I don’t think the Final Getsuga is enough to take out Aizen in his regular form but could take care of Gin.
I think the only way Ichigo and Aizen gonna is both with long hair and hollow eyes. Maybe a hollow hole for Ichigo.
As for Keigo… I think his hug might seal Aizen in a corner crying and trying to scrub of the kid’s smell. Who knows these days.

This might sound weird, but what happened to the Vasto Lorde?, as I understand it the Espada were high ranking Arrancar, nowhere does it say they were the actual Vasto Lorde. There is still someone that might give Aizen a fight, I think her name is Kirio Hikifune a former captain of the 12th division that joined the Royal Guards, her powers are an enigma, but you would think to protect the Soul King you would have to have some broken-ass powers. I guess mullet=godlyhood. Who knew?

“i think the biggest part of this chapter was the fact that ichigo could NOT understand aizen’s reiatsu” – actually that isn’t what happened. if you read the onemanga translation it becomes easier to understand. it played out like this:
-isshin told urahara that he can’t even feel aizen’s rietsu, it was like he wasn’t even there. the only one that could read aizen’s rietsu is someone like him.
-ichigo told his dad that after feeling just how strong aizen’s rietsu was, he lost hope.
-isshin was shocked, and said something along the lines of “you can’t read his rietsu, can you?” realizing ichigo was that one he was speaking of earlier.

Ichigo is such a pansy lol. I hope Aizen slashes Gin in half, I’m tired of him.

first post on this blog, i just thought i might throw at u guys some of my complaints about this manga (though i’ve been a fan ever since it came out);
i just hate it when a manga portrays a character so powerful at some point that he takes care of other powerful villains. but when that character gets even stronger and fights more powerful villains, the earlier villains are portrayed just as powerful as the character (or even more powerful?)
ex:
1) ichigo screwed kempachi over without even using bankai, he even broke his sword. then ichigo fights the 5th espada who’s supposedly stronger than grimjaw (6th) who was amazingly STRONG. but couldn’t stand chance against him (5th), then enter kempatchi who fucks the 5th espada up, when ichigo couldn’t in bankai mode…. now that’s bull if u ask me… someone needs to be a bit more realistic.
2) uloquira (screw spelling), who’s the 4th espada is so freaken strong that ichigo didn’t stand a chance against his first release even in hollow form, he went to second release just to show off his power, not because it wasn’t enough to beat ichigo… i guess despair was the word? then enter other captains fighting on par with 3rd seat espada and above, when ichigo (According to unahana taichou) had captain level spiritual power even when half (or less?) of his power is present.
sorry kubo, but u have one ass of an unsatisfied customer.
anyway, about the same power father and son may have. i can’t help but think that ishin (and someone else – urahara?) had planned out to have a baby from a human a long time ago to counter aizen’s power. think about it, it’s only been 20 years since he started that “mission”, and the aizen-hoguku case has been around for 100 years. maybe it makes sense. there’s something urahara, ishin, and aizen aren’t telling ichigo (or us) about ichigo. just who the fuck is ishin anyway? why hasn’t anyone recognized their surname…..? some shit doesn’t make sense. i’m sure it will later on but hey, i hate it when things are closed to speculation.
By uchiha_gaiden, June 15, 2010 @ 5:49 am
What if aizen is not after all those souls but really just wants to take over ichigo’s human body to complete his powers. If he pops kon out then technically any soul could jump in, no?
By grim, June 16, 2010 @ 11:04 pm
the Karakura Riser will bring justice!!!
Sure Urahara must have planned something besides hiding the Hogu for the past 100 years.
Why should someone recognize Ishhin, he only showed up before Rukia (I believe).
Special Agent Isshin in Charge of keeping an eye on Urahara, how does that sound?

To lilmoe: “i just hate it when a manga portrays a character so powerful at some point that he takes care of other powerful villains. but when that character gets even stronger and fights more powerful villains, the earlier villains are portrayed just as powerful as the character (or even more powerful?)”
while this is so you will find that several things easily explain this.
in the first case you can see that ichigo has been in hueco mundo for much longer than kenny, and beyond the number of fights he went through when he meet the fifth he had just come out of the fight with the sixth, right? so by that merit he would be weaker the the fifth, what more in the same way that ichigo is always growing why cant the captains always be training, am sure they do.
and even your second point relates to the same issue. he couldn’t have been at full strength when he came up against number 4. while the other captain level all seem to always start fresh.
as for his captain level status, the way i see it is that a persons power is always expanding the level he reached when he killed number 4 will remain as his full potential until he goes past it. you get me? so when he isnt trying he would be regularly at a high level. hope you see what i mean. In my mind its all about constant growth and reaching a new level even though he is always fighting.
