Bleach Chapter 411 – Deicide 13
Wow, I’m gone for two weeks and you guys suddenly decide to write 50 comments per chapter. I guess I must be doin’ something wrong. Or mabe it’s because of this new commenter that has the word “girl” in the name. Damn, you horny bastards! Anyway, who guessed Don Kanonji?! Anyone? Bet y’all thought it was Mizuiro or Ryuuken. That’s understandable. I thought it’d be Matsumoto, but she arrived a chapter too late. If you thought Byakya and Kenpachi mad an awful team, just think what these two could do! If Keigo comes back I’m sure this will turn out to be a great fight – Kanonji and Tatsuki vs. Aizen and Matsumoto and Keigo vs. Gin. It will possibly be better than the fight between Kon and that random alley cat. Well, I think we all know by now that Kubo reaaaaaally enjoys delaying stuff, especially important stuff, like plot development.
But anyway, let’s concentrate on what’s important here – SPIRITS AAAAAAAAAAAAARE ALWAYS WITH YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in Ichigo’s case that’s one spirit too many. The strawberry has finally discovered the truth (which we have known for 300 chapters) – that Zangetsu and Ichigo’s inner hollow are actually one and the same. Apart they look really cool, but mixed together they look even more awesome. Their hybrid form manages to take all of the best aspects of the originals. Or perhaps it’s more appropriate to say this is the original and Zangetsu and hollow were never really meant to exist as separates. The only weird thing is that it looks like a 13-year old Ichigo with long hair, so it actually looks more like a girl…
Now Ichigo needs to beat this new Zangetsu in order obtain new powers and regain his fighting spirit. As Zangetsu said, Ichigo is terrified by the very thought of how destructive his power can be. Until he embraces the idea of being the strongest character in his own manga, Ichigo is gonna have to get his ass kicked a lot. BUt wait, that’s already happended. Ever since he first met Aizen Ichigo has done nothing but lose, or barely win with the help of some miracle. Could this mean the bad streak is almost at an end?!
And finally – how does Matsumoto plan on stopping Gin and Aizen? I’m guessing she’s just here to talk to Gin, but even if she could convince him, there’s nothing in the world she could say that wouldn’t make Aizen kill her in a second. So obviously now we’re waiting for some confessions of love and then the appearance of a new character. Or has she decided not to strugle and just join Gin and Aizen in their quest for godliness?! The worst possible mistake she could make is to try to seduce Aizen. I think we all know he only has eyes for Ichigo.

Yeah if Kubo decides to stop delaying plot development we may have something special on our hands in the next few chapters.
Honestly, the appearance of Don Kanonji annoyed the hell out of me especially after getting all hyped at HollowBankai fusion (HBF)! My question is, will it be a matter of Ichigo subduing/defeating HBF or realizing that strength to protect (Tensa) and destroy (hollow) go hand in hand???
Given that appearance of his spirit/zanpaktou has changed I’m guessing name will have to change as well… How awesome would it be if HBF he’s facing now is sealed state of his new “royal” zanpaktou…!

I’ll be honest, I wanted it to be Ryuuken so it wouldn’t be Don Kononji. But once I saw that face and heard the chant to go with it I remembered why he’s one of my favorite characters again. Let’s talk about Gin, the entire chapter the silver fox stood silently behind Aizen. By golly! when Rangiku appeared well I just new Gin was gonna do something mischeveous. I suppose I’ll just have to wait till 412 comes out to see that. I really didn’t expect Rangiku Matsumoto’s sudden entrance though, that caught me off gaurd. Anyone know how she got there, cause I really don’t.
I can’t think of what to say on this chapter. What happened with the Tensa and Hollow situation is just… wow. When they said “us, one-on-one”, I thought that it was Tensa Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo facing off. I thought that didn’t make sense, is Ichi just going to watch? Then I realized it was the fusion (way to copy the DBZ fusion saga guys) of the two. @shebeebee I like the way you put that the “strength to protect and to destroy go hand in hand.” What a good way to put it. I like even more how Byakushi said that Ichigo will “embrace the fact that he is the strongest character in his manga”. You guys are hilarious. Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Soul King is actually God? I do. maybe he’s Buudha or Ameteresu, ok he’s not the sun goddess sorry, the wheels in my head started turning. But I do think he’s God. I really can’t wait till next week, But maybe Gundam and Dragonball Z will hold me off for a while.

the fused tensa and ogihci(ichigo spelt backwards) reminds me of the that digimon final villain from season four; i think is name was ANGELMON or LUCIMON lol lol

@madara uchiha, I think quite the opposite my friend. I think the soul king is ridiculously powerful, unlike how king kai sucked after the fight with the saiyans. Wait I just said I think that Soul King “is” powerful; correction I think Soul King was powerful. Now I think he’s dead. I think he’s probably been dead for a while too, longer than central 46.

I like the fusion and think if ichigo’s bankai will change to white and his new mask will stick providing a new more powerful bankai.
I think the Soul King is strong but he has some Aizen like ability to control others so Aizen will be immune. The Zero squad is probably going to weaken Aizen so Ichigo can win but then spout some nonsense about “no one can see the king and live” forcing him to choose either the zero squad or death.

I think that rangikus appearance is a major turning point in the aizen/gin relationship. Up until now we’ve seen gin being almost as cruel as aizen (hiyori cutter) or being weird (how he wanted to let ichigo run), but, in a weird way, he always followed aizen. Rangiku is the only person in the whole manga we’ve seen him relate to. And, regardless of his “loyalty” to aizen, i don’t think he’ll accept her death. Maybe this will be the moment he says “Ok asshole, kill the others, but leave my big-breasted woman alone”

Also, Hollow Ichigo was in bankai mode + his mask, so fusing with bankai shouldnt have changed his appearance

@karijow I am so on the same page with you! I bet Soul King is Shenron! They even have the Z fighters! Ichigo-Goku, Renji-Tein, Chad-Yamcha, Rukia-Choutsu, Ishida- Picclo(though not nearly as strong) Orihime-Gohan, he was pretty useless in the beginning. Orihime could also be Videlle, cause she wasn’t a real Z fighter and sucked. Shikia- super saiyan, Bankai-super saiyan2, Hollowfication- super saiyan 3! HBF-fusion! More seriously though, I don’t really think Ichigo’s appearance will change. But if it did I would only want one thing to change, I would want Ichigo to have long hair. I love the long hair. It’s the Bleach equievlant to spikey gold hair… and Don Kononji is Hercule! I still have no Krillin yet.
How did Rangiku-san get through the Senkaimon? She doesn’t have a Hell butterfly, and Ichigo watched Aizen and Gin go through the Dagai. Also, what happened to the massive hole in her Shyakyoushou where the Chimaera hit her. I know Kira healed her but when she started chasing after Gin the hole was there. And now, poof! Gone.

well it’s either me, or maybe translating form Japanese can be misleading from the original meaning or context…
last time, i thought tensa-zangetsu wasn’t good friends with ichigo’s inner hollow. i thought they were two different beings from what i understood from the context. that would also mean that one-on-one isn’t the write translation either, it would probably be something like one-in-one or 2 in 1 or something like that….
anyway… nice chapter, things are clear back again.

I seriously had too look up the name when i read a spoiler. I totally forgot about this fucker… I suppose it was better if he didn’t. I would have rather seen Mizuro. Well I suppose he could entertain Aizen for while giving Ichigo a bit more time.
As for Matsumoto. After Aizen past trhough, you’d be fine even without a hell’s butterfly. I mean he destroyed the guardian. I didnt see a hell butterfly tagging along with Ichigo and Ishinn, so it makes sense in that regard.
@stargirl: Maybe matsumoto visited a tailor before moving on?
The fusion is whicked thou. There seems to be a harmony of sorts between Zangetsu and the hollow form rather than a struggle in the Shikai Zangetsu world. So I like the idea of this fusion. When he masters this true hollow form he’ll probably look like the hollow form did(since that form is what he feared). He already took that form in the fight against Uli, except all his clothes we’re torn up from being beat up by the same Uli.
I don’t really care if Don takes a hit.

glad to have u back j, great analysis. this chapter was pretty sweet. i must say i wasn’t expecting them to combine. it kind of reminds me of stark’s fraccion. and the horn is the same as uli’s. i actually thought for a second that this don guy was going to demonstrate some kind of powers, after hitting aizen with, whatever he hit him with. its probably better that he didn’t though. and to all those crossing there fingers some character to show up, i.e. muiziro, uryuu’s dad, urahara’s assistant, don’t worry, i’m sure they will all eventually have a turn. i have a feeling when ichigo shows up to kurakara town, it will be a lot like his entrance to the fake on, right when all his allies are wounded and about to die.
@mart – i agree with you about altering his bankai. it seems he never fully had control over it in the first place. just like his old mask never fully had control over his hollow powers. hopefully mastering them will make his over-exposed bankai a little more entertaining.

@ssj, Ichigo’s bankai to me is comparable to a Shikai because his marvelous speed isnt so marvelous now. His great attack power, isnt so great now. The Black Getsuga Tensho, is pretty much useless without the mask. I’d say even Soi Fon’s crappy Bankai is better lol. Ichigo’s is even with the craptastic Kokujo Tengen Myou! And the BEST Bankai is easily Tosen’s.

@karijow I agree with you. If Kaname would have pulled himself together with the whole “I will walk the path with the least blood shed, and that path is the one that Captain Aizen walks” crap then he could have been a huge advocate for Soul Society. He’s blind, he can’t see Kyouka Suigetsu in Shikai or in any form for that matter. However Tousen was naieve, more niaeve than Ichigo, his naievety is what allowed his Leuitenant to kill him. Lol, that’s a really bad deal, man.
@pret3nder I suppose it really doesn’t matter how Matsumoto got to Karakura. All that really matters now is that I just know Gin will fight on the behalf of his buxom beauty. That would be so awesome to see a fight between Aizen and Gin. Hopefully it will last longer than Ichigo’s first fight with Aizen(if you can even call it a fight). I am actually excited to see Aizen do stuff with the hougyoku, besides fuse with it.

@baycel I googled the story of the princess and the cowherd. Its celebrated at the Star festival, or Tanabata. It fits in to my theory of how Orihime has some affiliation with Soul King, even if it’s one she doesn’t know about. It also fits into my theory of Soul King being God. I don’t think she’s his daughter. We know where Orihime comes from, and we know she has parents. They might be crack heads but they’re still her parents. I also don’t see Ichigo being a cowherd, lol.

i’m starting to believe aizen is a god, as he says. you know, the all-knowing, all-powerful. destroying that machine in the passage was no random test of his new-found powers. he did it intentionally, knowing what isshin would do.
tensa zangetsu and hollow dude fusing was really cool. i just wonder if this fight with the inner being will end the same way it did when ichigo beat hollow guy earlier: with ichigo clearly being outmatched but still winning cuz he suddenly reaches some kinda enlightenment. that’d be really boring. but i have a feeling this time around tite has some fresh and hopefully better ideas

@bsk17 It seems obvious that Aizen is still trying to push Ichigo foreward. He still wants him to grow. It could be he needs a similar power to complement his own in order to create the key. Curiosity seems out of character for Aizen.
As for the inner fight. This whole setup of the fight is different from last time. The hollow left his ‘I’m gonna take over your soul’ to the side and let Zangetsu do the talking. Tensa most definitly wants Ichigo to start moving foreward again. The hollow part doesn’t seem to care that much either way, would be a win win(of sorts) for him.

I honestly can’t believe Ichigo doesn’t have post traumatic stress disorder. Orihime’s definately got PTSD, she freaking lost her mind with the whole second resureccion thing. I just find it hard to believe that Ichigo hasn’t had a mental breakdown. Although I think he nearly did when Gin told him to run away.

@baycel I just thought of something, Ichigo’s birthday is on July 7. Tanabata, or the star festival is on July 7. The tale of the princess and the cowherd goes hand in hand with this date. That’s when it’s celebrated. Is it a coinsidence that Orihime is named after the weaving princess in this story, and that Ichigo’s birthday happens to be on the day this is celebrated.

well i was reading some of these and it reminded me of the beginning of bleach when the underworld portal opened i mean if there is a god there has to be a devil i wonder how that will tie in later just a hunch really..but on the actual chapter i think this next one coming up ichigo is gonna get his arse handed to him by hollow zangetsu while rangiku and gin fight and gin gets a nice bankai to occupy his time
