Bleach Chapter 414 – Deicide 16

Read the Chapter

Deicide Six-frickin-teen! I’m beginning to think that deicide won’t end until the actual deicide (killing of Aizen, or the Soul King) takes place. Anyways, this chapter more than makes up for the filler-type lack of progression last chapter. All suspicions are put to rest of the most interesting character of the series; Mr. Ichimaru.

gin

It starts where the last one left off, with Gin interrupting Aizen from killing once again. The tension between the two has been building for quite a few chapters now. Ever since his little encounter with Ichigo, my suspicions of Gin have been on the high, but this chapter pretty much answers that question.

Gin tells Aizen that he killed Matsumoto. I doubt he did, considering Gin’s following actions, but I am curious how he made her reiatsu disappear. When Aizen is about to finally finish off Ichigo’s friends so he can begin creating the key, Gin insists that he will do it instead. On his “way” toward them, he pushes Aizen’s sword down nonchalantly. In an instant, he finally makes his move, and he pierces Aizen right through the heart from behind his enormous sleeves.

lk

Apparently, the only way to escape Kyouka Suigetsu’s abilities is to be touching the blade itself before it is activated. It took Gin decades and decades of patiently waiting to learn that one piece of vital information. That makes you think just how long he has been planning this move. A scheme of this caliber is on par, if not better than Aizen himself. Even Gin’s wardrobe was planned out from the beginning, with the enormous sleeves to mask his move. This, to me, speaks miles for Gin overall. Aizen admits that he knew about Gin’s intentions, but led him along out of curiosity. Well curiosity killed the cat…

You see, not only does Gin’s bankai make his zanpakuto the fastest, and longest, but also the sneakiest. When extending and retracting, Gin’s blade becomes dust for the slightest moment, then rematerializes. This happens so fast, not even Aizen can catch it.  When he pierced Aizen’s heart, Gin left a small fragment of the blade within the heart. Conveniently, the interior of Gin’s blade secretes a poison capable of breaking down all cells in the body, ultimately killing them.

.,m

Gin has been called many things; a snake, a fox, a traitor, but I’m gonna go with a badass. For the first time in his new form, Aizen is experiencing something known as fear. I honestly believe that if Gin attempted this before Aizen’s ascension, this would have worked, but unfortunately I don’t think this is the end of Aizen yet. Which makes me wonder just what Ichigo will have to do to really kill him off.

The last thing I want to mention is Gin’s loyalty. Obviously he isn’t loyal to Aizen. However, the question still remains as to whether he is doing this all for himself, or if he is the Gotei’s greatest double agent ever. It would explain why he whisked Matsumoto away, told Ichigo to run for his life, interrupted Aizen from killing Ichigo’s friends, and even manipulated the hallways back in Hueco Mundo to keep Ichigo’s friends safe. But his speech about being like a snake at the beginning of the chapter makes me wonder if he really is just doing this because Aizen looked so “tasty.”

“how he made her reiatsu disappear” Hero (the movie) style, he severed her soul chain or whatever and no she is just a regular soul.

My problem with Gin as a villan is that he looks almost EXACTLY like Phantom from MAR. So I say Badass double agent.

Now hopefully deicide will end. It was a bit arrogant of Gin to call his Bankai God Killing Lance back in the first Deicide but now it fits.

I don’t think even Matsumoto knows what goes on inside his head. And she seems to still be the only one he has some sort of emotional attachment too.

The tension has been slowly rising between the two, especially when they started traveling to SS. It kinds seems Gin isnt that hell-bent on destroying everything the way Aizen seems too. Aizen does look tasty as a target in comparison to the little ones.

I’m sure it was just fear towards Gin. Mostly anger. Gin actually managed to seperate the Hougyoku from Aizen via his Bankai’s ability. This would truely be an unexpected end of Aizen. I wonder Ichigo’s final form will be on par with as far as speed goes.

wtf y is reviews taking so long now? i nearly died waiting…lol

this isnt very shocking to me but if aizen survives im almost sure that gin is dead meat-er-i mean-dead…spirit? or atleast someone’s gonna have to come save him…then he’s gonna be on the sidelines giving advice n shit. that wud mean aizen is gonna be waaaaaaaaay more boring—i hope he diea

my only fear is, since aizen claimed to have known about gin’s motives, maybe he misled gin when telling him that “vital piece of information.” maybe touching the blade was just a false fact to lure gin out, and this is still all hypnosis. i would be so pissed if that were true

Bah, this wont kill Aizen. There’s still too much mystery and build up around our favorite SSj3. Gin will get Aizen’d (the highest level of pwnin possible) next chapter

@madara, plz don’t talk about how long the reviews take, these kids will eat u up and talk so much shit that u won’t want to come back on this site, but compared to narutohurricane this does take way too long, and its been like that, thats why i check this one out once a month.
now onto bleach, i think the title decide was for gin to decide whether to let aizen go on or to try to kill him, now that he has decided his actions, this should change, the title, i knew gin wasn’t fully for aizen since the ss arc when after ichigo defeated renji, he sent squad 4 to tend to his wounds, and when he told rukia, if u want me to help u escape i will, but u see, she hesitated, so he played it like he was playing, if she would have said yes i believe he would have saved her, why else would he have been on that bridge.
but now aizen sees his true colors, so we should at least see a better fight between aizen and gin, than aizen and the captains, someone has to hold aizen off until ichigo comes, and gin knows most of aizens tricks so he should be more of a challenge. thats just my thougts..now watch the bashing from my statement above commence.

  • By ssj, August 2, 2010 @ 12:18 pm

lol no bashing necessary, it did take too long. i’ve just been very busy is all.

btw the chapter is called deicide, not decide. deicide means the act of killing a god. hence where all the speculation comes from.

lol, y’all crucified one fella, a while ago for saying the exact same thing i said, he wasn’t wrong and he wasn’t being a dick.
u guys have to understand, ppl that come to ur site, indeed do love bleach and naruto, they come here because right after reading the chapter, they are filled with questions, and they want to see if others out there are thinking the same, or u guys might have seen something in the manga that we didn’t see, is all. if u are use to narutohurricanes’ promptness, then u shoot over here and its like, u are stuck, but believe me, i know about being busy, but don’t u guys like work in groups, surely u could ask one of ur friends to fill in for u for that week, no disrespect.
shit put me on staff and i will give a reveiw every thurs. for u .lol take care

my theory is that gin is an assassin sent by the royal army or by the king himself to assassinate aizen. maybe they knew about aizen’s intentions all along and sent him a mole who should either know his secret or kill him, or both.

  • By lilmoe, August 2, 2010 @ 6:52 pm

maybe aizen was curious not because he wanted to know how gin will attempt to kill him, but rather he wanted to know who gin is working for?

  • By baycel, August 2, 2010 @ 8:59 pm

of course aizens not dead i mean it is aizens the guy that knows how many times youve blinked leading to u taking a crap or somethin basically all there is 2 kno about anythin hes never surprised i mean look at him hes standing there with cell destroying poison inside him while leakun a handfull of blood saying that he knew gin would turn on him lol meanwhile wtf is ichigo still gettin his ass kikd

  • By pcgnome, August 3, 2010 @ 9:35 am

I think the hole in Gin’s logic here is obvious because Aizen already said it to the captains like 12 chapterd ago: “What makes you think total hypnosis isn’t already activated?”.

Gin is going to get pwned, end of story.

    -pcgnome out

It all makes perfect sense now. Remember back in the earlier Deicides when Gin kept calling Ichigo “a scary kid”, he said that because Ichigo caught Gin’s sword. Not even Aizen could do that. Not only that, but it seems to be that Ichigo (so far) is immune to the poisen secreted by Gin’s sword. It’s finally starting to all unravel, I’m so excited!

  • By ssj, August 4, 2010 @ 5:08 pm

the poison is only on the interior of the blade. gin has to choose to remove a part of the blade and expose the poison, which he clearly hid from everyone to keep it a secret until now against aizen
