Bleach Chapter 418 – Deicide 20
The twentieth deicide chapter, 418, was a little more action-packed, and a little less filled with dialogue than the recent chapters. Normally I wouldn’t mind this, but with all the recent questions raised I kind of want to know more about Ichigo’s secrets. Oh well, there will always be time for that later.
The chapter begins with Aizen resonating with Ichigo’s last words last chapter. Obviously he isn’t buying it. The main point of this chapter was to expose Aizen’s biggest flaw; egotism. He is so self-obsessed at this point that he is no longer using his most powerful ability – his wit. He believes himself to be so unbelievably powerful that he can throw away all caution, regardless of the opponent. Not the smartest thing to do, considering he just acquired these powers, doesn’t even know their limitations yet himself, and is fighting an opponent whose powers are also unknown.

There are multiple examples of Aizen’s egotism throughout the chapter, but the first is his misdiagnoses as to why Ichigo was able knock him around last chapter. Because Ichigo’s physical strength is so tremendous, Aizen believes that the only way another being could reach that level is by throwing away everything else, most specifically reiatsu. This could be true, but I honestly don’t believe Ichigo just threw away his reiatsu for physical power. I think that that is just a comforting thought Aizen is forcing himself to believe, but who knows, I could be wrong.
Immediately after Aizen’s speech he uses the same teleportation technique granted to him by the hougyoku that he used against Gin, to appear behind Ichigo. Ichigo notices though, and they clash swords. I massive mound of earth is sliced clean off the landscape in the distance from the force. Aizen immediately goes into a rant about how impressive what he just did is, and how much it gives him chubs to know that his power exceeded his own expectations.
They clash one more time, sending the landscape into frenzy. Aizen takes note about their zanpakuto. It seems that both of their right arms have, in a sense, “merged” with their zanpakuto. This is not to say that they couldn’t put the sword down, but the connection between them and their swords is stronger than others. I think we caught a glimpse of this before when Ichigo was able to summon Zangetsu to him from far away while fighting Ulquiorra. He was after all, “closer” to Zangetsu at that time; since it turned out that his hollow powers and zanpakuto powers were actually one all along.

And then once again, Aizen rants about how he could crush Ichigo in one blow if he wished it. The look on the next page is priceless, when he actually tries to do this, and Ichigo stops his blade with his bare palm. Correct me if I’m wrong, but as we learned when Ichigo fought Kenpachi, in order to stop another’s blade with bare hands, you must have greater reiatsu, no? If Ichigo was just physically stronger, the blade could still slice his tissue, it is the reiatsu that prevents it from doing so, much like an Arrancar’s hierro. (Also, isn’t Ichigo’s outfit in direct proportion to the amount of reiatsu he has left? He pretty much has a full outfit on.) Then we finally get a glimpse into Aizen’s mind, as he tries to figure out how this is possible. Like I said before, he has gotten so convinced that his power is absolute, that if anything doesn’t follow his logic he no longer has the sense to think about it reasonably. To me, the old Aizen was much scarier.
Ichigo tries conveying this message to Aizen himself. There is one scene where it almost appears that Ichigo launches Aizen back with just a flick of his hand. It may be that Aizen just jumped back, but the panel at the very top of the page makes me think otherwise. Aizen, still not able to cope with the fact that someone may just be stronger, decides to crush him through Kido.
It appears that no matter how strong he has become, the only thing that could improve his Kido brain-power, and studying the spells. Like I said before, Aizen’s brain is the one thing that hasn’t improved. So he recites the #90 spell, “Black Coffin” to crush Ichigo with the force of gravity.
One way or another, whether it is physical strength, or through means he hasn’t felt the need to explain to Aizen, Ichigo breaks the spell effortlessly. He reveals that he is without a doubt stronger than Aizen right now. It turns out the blade that fucked up the landscape when their swords collided at the beginning of the chapter was not Aizen’s but actually Ichigo’s. Aizen was too closed minded to consider that possibility, and after one swipe from Ichigo, it may be the end of him… Doubt it, but Aizen will probably have to revert to his zanpakuto’s powers to get any advantage on Ichigo at this point.

lol as if Ichigo can beat Aizen. Man am I in denial? I was cheering for aizen this chapter. I hate when people act as cocky as Ichigo (Sasugay)
@ssj, that was lightning fast
By FalconP`rince, September 1, 2010 @ 7:57 pm
Aizen has been acting cocky for the last 300 or more chapters… I think its time the tables turned on him for a while… And what do u knw.. the new ichigo and his attitude luks kind of cool for him.. This fight kind of reminds me of the freiza vs goku in dbz…
By Uzumaki ichigo kun, September 1, 2010 @ 8:29 pm
Epic
Ichigo is now trolling Aizen, this is madness!
By Uzumaki ichigo kun, September 1, 2010 @ 8:39 pm
Hey ya’ll..do you think that ichigo’s power is just temporary???i mean like that hollow mask..when he first got the mask..he was able to use it for couple of seconds..and in this stance..he said he will finish the fight in an instant..maybe this powerup is temporary and has some time limit…that’s why he’ll want to end it quickly..Just a thought eh!!
By karijow, September 1, 2010 @ 9:31 pm
Ichigo’s bankai compresses his reiatsu…what if he has finally fully mastered his bankai and compressed his Reiatsu to a degree where its like its not there. That would explain his massive increase in speed and strength (doesn’t justify how he can be close to Aizen’s level, but what if that’s it?)
By quincy lord, September 1, 2010 @ 10:16 pm
Thank you SSJ for being so prompt.
By quincy lord, September 1, 2010 @ 10:20 pm
Poor Aizen, from Godzen to Ichigo’s girlfriend. Your right SSJ, that magic ball has increased everything about Aizen except his brain.
Aizen has gone from being Darth Vaders equal to a manga fail.
I’m ready for the next arc.
By madara uchiha, September 1, 2010 @ 10:26 pm
so if ichigo is this powerful(stronger than yamamoto) and the manga isnt about to end…does that mean new and way more powerful characters are about to appear…?
By ssj, September 1, 2010 @ 10:28 pm
you know, i’m honestly interested to see how a full powered yamamoto, with his zanpakuto would fare in this battle.
By cesc, September 1, 2010 @ 10:39 pm
pure awesomeness, I must say I am proud of my boy Ichigo, who woulda thought he had this much potential.
Reminds me more of the Freezer Trunks battle. Too bad no1 is there to witness Ichigo look like a total badass. That’s another reason why I loved DBZ, there was always someone to witness the good guy looking like a total badass.
By sasukethebeast, September 1, 2010 @ 10:49 pm
i wonder if were finally gonna see aizens bankai soon
By J-E, September 1, 2010 @ 11:24 pm

just imagine how powerful this old fart bankai is
By J-E, September 1, 2010 @ 11:24 pm
“”"dont”"”" instead od dony
By J-E, September 1, 2010 @ 11:27 pm
you are right cesc. just imagine kempachi or byakuya watching ichigo´s news powers. i bet kempachi having a bonner for see someone so strong
By Pretend3r, September 2, 2010 @ 12:09 am
@J-E Lol mate, I think your spot on for that.
Like most others here I enjoyed this chapter for what it was. Aizen being toned down a notch without him faking it. I loved it how he was trying to looks for the reason why Ichigo could block his blade with his hands and all the other stuff. Ichigo just keeps him mouth shut while kicking his ass.
Pro…
By Shebeebee, September 2, 2010 @ 2:09 am
Boss chapter. I loved it!
The Disappearing Ichigo Reiatsu mystery continues, lol! I’m sticking by fact that it’s new more powerful version that no can yet comprehend.
I think slice across chest will be a wake-up call for Aizen and he’ll take a step back to take stock of the situation and that’s when the real battle will begin with Ichigo unleashing some goodies from his new arsenal. Exciting times.
…Badass chapter!
By lilmoe, September 2, 2010 @ 6:00 am
lots of badass shit, but is that only to satisfy the readers? i hate to think this will end as it is now. and i do agree with karijow, too much sasuGAYish crap.
i also agree with ssj, i don’t believe he threw away his spiritual energy aka reiatsu, otherwise how can he maintain his spiritual body? you cant have a spiritual body if u don’t have reiatsu. what was aizen thinking? yup, too blinded by his own BS.
By Shebeebee, September 2, 2010 @ 7:03 am
@lilmoe – All this rule breaking will probably be justified by the fact that Ichigo isn’t really a Shinigami/Hollow or of Shinigami/Hollow origin but a human being. That’ll most likely be the loophole that is exploited to explain the unexplainable…
By isak, September 2, 2010 @ 8:25 am
YES! finally somone put aizen in his place!
and ichigo just looks so badass right now cant wait for the rest of this fight!!
By MaxAloysius, September 2, 2010 @ 9:21 am
Forgive me, as much as I’d like to agree that Ichigo wouldn’t have thrown his reiatsu away, I also feel I have to point out that in this chapter, when he stops Aizen’s sword with his hand, the drawing (top left panel of page 15) looks to me like the blade has not touched his palm; and that he has stopped it with his fingers and thumb on the flat sides. If the blade edge has not hit his palm, and he has stopped it with the strength from his fingertips alone, then it is still a possibility (though I like to think not true) that he currently has no, or little reiatsu.
Just saying how I saw it
By Genius, September 2, 2010 @ 9:27 am
I think at this point Aizen is simply a vessel for his dark hogyoku, or whatever it’s called. Aizen is merely a shinigami who tried to use the hogyoku to gain strength, but in the end it looks like the hogyoku is using him, transforming him into a monster. I think ichigo is going to dispatch aizen relatively well, but the hogyoku is going to become the final opponent.
By blooper, September 2, 2010 @ 9:35 am
Holy Epicness Batman!!
Caught Aizen’s sword with his bare hand AND swiped away #90 with his arm. THANK YOU TITE!
lol
Epic chapter, thanks for the review.
By blooper, September 2, 2010 @ 9:38 am
Oh, and I forgot. That incantation was awesome too.
That was the first time we ever heard #90 chanted right? I would think so.
By ssj, September 2, 2010 @ 12:05 pm
@MaxAloysius – look here on page 13 and tell me if you still feel the same way. the blade is clearly hitting his palm as his fingers are extended into the air.
By fmeplease.com, September 2, 2010 @ 1:18 pm
I’m with you all that Aizen should be taken down a notch or two, but by Ichigo? Seriously??? WTF how does he go from whimp to crushing the all mighty aizen in one day. It just doesn’t make sense, he goes from nothing to being stronger than Aizen… when Aizen is already supposed to have greater power than anyone and everything. Aizen god mode hacked, the ichigo god mode hacked x 5
By isak, September 2, 2010 @ 1:38 pm
@fmeplease.com well it didnt happen on one day he was in the area between the human world and soul society for a long time (wich is why ichigos hair and isshins beard had growned)
and i dont think he “threw away” his reiatsu he trained to master the true getsuga so he should have reiatsu for the true getsuga
By karijow, September 2, 2010 @ 3:09 pm
“for a long time ”
lol 3 months? Aizen’s plan is over a century old XD! Its really sad to see Ichigo putting Aizen in his place.
By lilmoe, September 2, 2010 @ 3:36 pm
i agree… it’s sad to see a multi hundred year old plan being put down with a 3 month training session. aizen was super strong even before the hogyuku ever existed, he just didn’t tell everyone about his powers. other than his zambaktou’s power, he used to cast spells without chanting them, refer to the first hollow/shinigami transformation encounter with urahara and the previous captains who will become vizards afterwords.
@Shebeebee: it’s useless now to think what kind of “being” he is now. whether an “evolved” form or a “back to being human” form, wouldn’t matter cuz tite would have his feedback later on in the story. i do believe, however, that he’s got a grasp of the “origin” of power as stated before in last chapter’s discussion. the hogyuku might have been a simulation or an “artificial measure” to that “state”, and now ichigo has a better “understanding” of it, but i’m not going to predict anymore, lol, it’s all up to tite like i said.
By lilmoe, September 2, 2010 @ 3:54 pm
sarcastically after i said i wont predict anymore, i cant help it lol.
well, here’s a little theory although i wouldn’t know if it’s right or not.
aizen and afterwords urahara were desperately trying to find the best of 2 worlds, shinigami hollow. but both (maybe urahara didn’t) have left out another realm out of the picture; humans.
humans have different powers that “evolved” through time according to the story. quincies being one. also you might want to count inouve and chad’s powers in. where did those powers come from? i doubt aizen’s explanation is 100% accurate, there must be another factor kicking in, that might be ichigo’s “original” power, which i think now equates to the hoguku.
lets go back in time a bit to better tell u guys what i mean.
shinigamis were originally souls in soul society that later on “developed” shinigami powers. those souls aren’t human. and they’re souls combine with what we know as zambaktous to form that power
hollows were originally other souls who start with being not very powerful at all (there are exceptions though), huko mundo is full of “harmless” hollow. those hollows later on devour each other (and other humans) for greater powers to later move into stages that end up with vast lords (then later arancar with aizen’s help).
humans on the other hand are the weakest of the 3 but with (probably) the most potential (comparably with their original form, as they are the weakest, and later the difference in power between a quency, for example, and a normal human is very large).
so the point is. aizen has left out the human realm. which was his flaw in analysis? he did say that ichigo was special, but why did he leave humans out since he knew it? who knows.
also, the fact that the king’s key needs a sacrifice of HUMAN souls to be created is probably a key to that human powers really are included in the equation. ichigo’s dad probably knew about it, i cant seem to forget what he told ichigo in fake kurakara town; “you don’t realize what aizen’s powers are?” i can’t help to think what he meant by that. there’s a lot of mystery behind what he called the final getsuga, maybe it’s the final stage of power for a shinigami in possession of a moon zambaktou? (ex: zangetsu, engetsu, blabla-getsu) and because ichigo has 2 realms in his powers, his final getsuga is that “original” form?
only tite knows at this point i guess…
ps: i’m getting tired of my long posts too… i feel u guys.
By quincy lord, September 2, 2010 @ 4:50 pm
wow that is sad, a hundred plus year old plan flushed down the toilet by a 3 month training session.
By Mr. Satan, September 2, 2010 @ 4:54 pm
I really don’t think this is aizen’s final form. He’s probably going to evolve two more times. Then he’ll be like… “I knew you were going to train and be his strong. You got aizened!” Then he’s probably going to try to absorb or trick Mystic Ichigo (or Zangechigo or Ichiigetzu…whatever he is now) into helping him create the key.
By jm, September 2, 2010 @ 6:43 pm
did anyone realize that the #90 kidou aizen casted was taken down by just ichigos hand, and not his sword?? ichigo is so raw right now!!!
By cesc, September 2, 2010 @ 8:35 pm
@Genius, I agree with you about the Hogyoku being the final villain. i thinks at this point it is highly plausible that Ichi would finish Aizen in an instant, but then have the Hogyoku to face.
By lilmoe, September 2, 2010 @ 8:39 pm
the hogyoku needs a host…
By ssj, September 2, 2010 @ 8:43 pm

LOL don’t forget GeGETSUburi lmao! Omaeda ftw!
By ssj, September 2, 2010 @ 9:47 pm
btw lilmoe, nobody is getting tired of your long posts lol. i love ‘em, it just takes me a little while to read them. reminds me of myself when i first started commenting on shannaro.
i think you’re right about humans being the key, and i actually think aizen knew this too. i believe he was getting to all that with the next stage of his plan, but got sooo obsessed with his new powers that he lost focus on what was important.
By stargirl, September 2, 2010 @ 10:31 pm
Maybe the hougyoku is the last villian. Maybe it desides Ichigo-san is better than Aizen, and switchs hosts. This’ll be funn…
By karijow, September 3, 2010 @ 6:15 am
@stargirl, did you just use the words “Ichigo”, “better”, “than” and “Aizen” in the same sentence in that order?
By isak, September 3, 2010 @ 6:35 am
@karijow i only meant that it didnt happen on ONE day.
By lilmoe, September 3, 2010 @ 12:48 pm

By uzimakiDichigo, September 3, 2010 @ 6:11 pm
Yeaaahhh Iishin DID give quite a bit of foreshadowing what with him saying how much trouble he had with his Engestu, even more peculiar that statement he made about Aizen’s power to Ichigo. More over, how did Iishin even kno Ichigo could do a getsuga in the first place to know he has a “final getsuga”… i agree his human side has to have something to do with it but there’s gotta be something deeper in his parents past that explains it cause remember Aizen has been monitoring him since birth, long b4 he could even take out a regular hollow, let alone be impressive enough to grasp the attention of Aizen who was strong enuff to defy a group of captains a century prior… Tite is holdin onto a doozy, i think thats why we know more about the Vaizards than Iishin when he’s been here since chapter 1… as for Zangetsu being one with hollow Ichigo, i dnt think so, if that were the case he should be hollowfied everytime he uses it the blade and the mask are separate, when he learned bankai his mask didnt change, it seems to change n get stronger eveytime Ichigo goes full hollow n comes back, which only ever really happens when he’s beaten damn near to death. what i DO think has happened is he mastered combining his hollow power with his reiastu, like that time he put hollow power into his getsuga against muramasa(or was is ulquiorra:-S?), maybe…. lol, i have no clue but i have a feeling Iishin is a vaizard too because he was apparently a captain, yet he lives in the real world like the rest of the vaizard… maybe HIS past is how aizen found out about hollowfication in the first place to wanna test it out……. #imjustsayin… hougyoku final enemy? eh… not the craziest thing i’ve heard so its probable, but what could it want? i think aizen will pull a freiza and transform a few more times seeing as his power is only bound by his imagination ROFL. gotta wonder if the “final getsuga” is what we’re seeing now, like that time goku made a giant spiritbomb and absorbed the power, maybe the getsuga is travelling into his body as the power source… maybe i smoke too much weed… or maybe since ichigo bested both of his inned IDs, he can control his reiastu so its totally compressed and only flows in the pinpoint of the attack… i think whats goin happen is gonna be aizen tryina figure out where the power comes from as ichigo pwns him, then as it looks like aizen is done for ichigo starts to chat n then aizen transforms again healin his wounds n becoming stronger… the illusions will come out and all hell is gonna break loose forcing ichigo to break out his new mask *cums in my pants* whoops….
By baycel, September 3, 2010 @ 8:45 pm
wat if for some random twist out of nowhere……..orihime appears hollowfied…jus kidding lol no seriously tho if she came while aizen wuz getting his ass kiked and heals him o_0..,naaahh that not gonna happen but wats odd is if the final getsuga is a form or attack and if so why didnt ishinn use on Aizen:less egotistical annoyingly durable mode/or chrisalys mode lol ? maybe its superstrong like uraharas bankai.. idk jus baycels stupid random thoughts plz correct me if im wrong about anything
By stargirl, September 4, 2010 @ 6:24 am
Let me clarify the comment I made above. Perhaps the hougyoku will see Ichigo as being more worthy than Aizen to posses it’s power. Just like with Urahara abd Aizen. So maybe Ichigo will be under it’s control. And did anyone stop to think that maybe Aizen’s bankai is complete control over a victim. Like absolute hypnosis except now Ichigo would just be made into a puppet. All of his abilities would be at Aizen’s disposal. Last thing, I don’t know if I think Ichigo still even has a mask. I’d like it better if he didn’t. It’s like his weakness. It’s a flaw.
By isak, September 4, 2010 @ 8:05 am
Aizen has been really cocky the last chapters perhaps now he will go back to his smart and thoughtfull mode. He is much cooler that way instead of being a brute that only uses raw power.
By paradoxis, September 4, 2010 @ 8:22 am
every character needs a flaw to be a viably real character in any story
By bsk17, September 4, 2010 @ 10:41 am
i just knew everyone, including aizen, was gonna be surprised when i saw ichigo was calm throughout aizen’s ranting. guess aizen will have to flee for now, or maybe use his bankai! if aizen’s hypothesis is correct then ichigo failed to defeat tensa. if not, ichigo succeeded and this is the power he gained. i just hope that as a result of this chapter’s revelations, aizen will transform again and lose those lame wings. i like ichigo’s looks better now. and it seems like aizen will have to postpone his plans to make the key. cos somebody’s not gonna let him have his way right now. bleach rocks… unlike another manga i could name…
By baycel, September 4, 2010 @ 12:39 pm
haha looks like Aizen got and is still getting Aizen’d XD
By Gavreel, September 7, 2010 @ 1:20 am
i think that bleach has been pacing ichigo’s development quite well, not gaining like 3 new abilities and powers within short intervals of eachother…like another manga. This new power ichigo gained i feel was much needed, and for the first time in forever im eager to see where this all goes. My lone qualm would be that ichigo and his enemies have ascended so far past the other people, that arent captains, that they seem totaly helpless (chad, rukia, renji, ect.)
By Karijow, September 7, 2010 @ 9:44 am
@Gavreel, hmm. With the whole premise of the story, I don’t feel Ichigo’s poerups were handled well.It takes Shinigami years to learn Shikai (they go through the whole Shinigami Academy without knowing their Zanpakuto’s name and spend years in their respective squads before learning their zanpakuto’s name), Ichigo learned it in a few days. Then bankai, which is supposed to be extremely rare, even among the Noble houses and takes decades to learn and master, but Ichigo got his in 10 days if I remember correctly. Let’s not forget about the Vizards. They can only hold their masks for about 3 minutes when they’re facing high level opponents and they’ve been training with those masks for a century, but Ichigo can hold his much longer than 3 minutes against high level opponents and he hasn’t even had the mask for 3 months. Then there’s the magical powerup that makes him stronger than a man that has been evolving for over a century. Right. So the pacing of Ichigo’s power is acceptable to us, the readers, but in-universe its just ridiculous how powerful he gets in such a smal amount of time (he’s only been a Shinigami for 8 months! lol).
Also, Captains are useless now as well. If another villain shows up, the Gotei 13 will be reduced to cannon fodder- oh wait, they already are. Aizen picked them off in only 3 chapters.
@anyone, how strong do you think Uryu and Chad are? I think they’re somewhere between Captain and Lietenant level. The Lieutenants barely beat some Fracciones, and then they were trounced by Allon, which is still a Fraccion. But Uryu and Chad beat the Privaron Espada quite easily when they went all out (Uryu with Seele Schneider and Chad with Diablo). However, they were no match for the Espadas, which the Captains beat easily as well (poor Szayel is still getting killed, Byakuya massacred Zommari and Nnoitra died from one 2-handed slash). So in my opinion, if Uryu and Chad manage to get stronger, they’ll either be above Captain level or Captain level. though, in the Soul Society Arc Uryu went way above Captain-level with the Quincy Final Form.
By ssj, September 7, 2010 @ 12:04 pm
@kisu – if this manga were about just another person in the bleachverse, with normal powers, and a normal growth rate, most people other than you wouldn’t find it to be as interesting. the plot revolves around the one character that is capable by the authors choosing, to achieve such feats, for that reason. look at naruto, he and sasuke have become unbelievably strong probably faster than any or almost any shinobi in history. and they are still 16. not as exaggerated as the progress in bleach, but still a similar case. look at onepiece if you read it, luffy has gone from pipsqueek, to near admiral level in far under a year, because that is what makes a manga interesting. i know it may annoy you, but remember, you are reading a manga (a story from a culture that thrives on concepts like “the chosen one”, and extremely nonbelievable/cool occurences). who knows, at the end of the series, tite could try to explain in a semi-reasonable way how ichigo did what he did. but even if he doesn’t he still made a wicked manga, with countless badass characters/chapters/cliffhangers/concepts that kept everybody including you coming back for more.
By Karijow, September 7, 2010 @ 4:46 pm
@ssj, if he had a normal growth rate I wouldn’t even read the manga lol. That’s why I said from a fan POV, its great that he grows so fast, but in-universe its silly. Think of poor old man Yama and his 2000+ yrs lol
By Karijow, September 7, 2010 @ 4:50 pm
@ssj, again, that damned Kubo got me with the Kyouraku-Starrk fight. I just couldn’t resist Starrk’s badass attire. Back then I didn’t comment here because I didn’t know jack about the plot though. Then there was that Bount Arc….yep bleach is overflowing with epic amounts of win. My only complaint is the manga’s slow pace, but I guess that’s Kubo’s style because when you read lots of chapters together it flows really well. That’s why the Bleach anime (in my opinion) is the best anime out right now….until they have mid-season fillers that is (the Muramasa filler was good..until they tried to make it even longer with those Sword-fiends).
By lilmoe, September 7, 2010 @ 5:21 pm
i agree with karijow on how fast and inconsistent the growth rate of ichigo was. not to mention the other gaps of power that weren’t handled right and all the other stuff we all kept repeating over and over.
BUT, i’d have to disagree with SSJ on the notion that it would have been boring (or not readable, or otherwise “not interesting”) if the manga was portrayed otherwise. A good example of a “different” way a manga was portrayed would be naruto. no need to explain how naruto started off and how his growth was always itching forward.
yes, ichigo is special, but so is naruto in all regards. i think that kubo is a wonderful writer with great talent and ideas; he has created a great story with lots of bad-ass battles and wonderful scenarios, BUT, i believe kishimoto was better in going through details of both story and growth/evolution (i prefer the word “progress” over “evolution” though, but that’s another discussion).
i prefer naruto’s character over ichigo’s. but it all tells how both writers “differ” in beliefs of what “interests” the reader. don’t get me wrong, i once said that one shouldn’t compare 2 mangas, each are distinguishable on their own, and both stories and characters are different. however, kubo might have had a better chance of “realism” using another approach.
my 2 cents.
By lilmoe, September 7, 2010 @ 5:25 pm
oh, i know what aizen’s new form is called:
X10A
the next attack is going to be multiple energy beams going from his “wings” to multiple parts of ichigo’s body
loooooooooool
By stargirl, September 7, 2010 @ 9:48 pm
I’m done. It’s time for Aizen to just die. Maybe I’ll continue with the next story, wait of course I will. It’s time to just pull the bandaid off, and get it over with. I’ve had enough, and quite honestly am not prepared to believe in a prolonged battle. Aizen can die and go to his eternal punishment already and Ichigo can wrap up his Soul King business. What a great manga though. Bleach was something, and soon will maybe be something again. But I’m good. It’s time for the God-murder chapters to stop. Perhaps I only feel this way now because of Final Fantasy VII… poor Zack… RIP. Besides I kinda wanna hear from the troops in Hueco Mundo.

Seeing how fast Aizen is evolving in these last few hours makes Ichigo’s progress to awsomeness much better. Remember that his latest ‘boost’ also took three months.
As a character I like Naruto alot aswell lilmoe. Seeing how he keeps growing up in a consistent manner.

@Pretend3r, but you also have to remember that aizen’s evolution is not a natural process, it’s being assisted. And in a sense, he’s been evolving for a century >__>

@Karijow so is Ichigo.
By Karijow, September 8, 2010 @ 5:43 pm
@stargirl, Im pretty sure we’ve seen all of Ichigo’s body. There’re only 2 places we HAVENT seen. So are you saying he’s hiding a Hogyouku (cuz that’s what I meant by assisted
) in those places? If so, then Kubo’s one sick man (remembers Harribel and her hollow hole) lol

Agglutination- the bongage of one object to another, as in to be part of.— It would appear that I was correct.
