Szayel is the eighth Espada in Aizen’s arrancar army. He has distinctive pink hair and his remains of his hollow mask form a pair of square framed glasses he wears. Prior to becoming the Eigth Espada, Szayel helped fellow arrancar Nnoitra Jiruga to ambush and defeat Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck so as to reclaim his

position as a top Espada. Szayel could be considered the Mayuri Kurotsuchi of the Espada, being highly intelligent but also possessing an extremely eccentric and narcissistic personality similar to his shinigami counterpart. Szayel is very selfish and cares little for anything other than his own research; even after his brother Yylfordt was killed by Renji, Szayel commented it was not worth getting upset over. Szayel joined forces with Aizen to eradicate non-Hollows, who he sees as inferior. He also desires to obtain the perfect body and achieve immortality, which are reflected in the Resurrección abilities of his zanpaktou.

Szayel’s Resurrección command is sip, where upon his lower body transforms into purplish tentacles and four branch like structures grow outwards from his back that are adorned with drops that can expand to protect him in a shield. Szayel gains several abilities in his resurrección form including:

• Create cloned copies of his opponent by splashing them with a dark liquid from his back

• Generate “voodoo dolls” of opponents after engulfing them with his wings. The dolls contain pellets which represent internal organs of the victim. Crushing a pellet will result in serious damage to the said organ.
• Possess the victim’s nervous system and control the body (only possible if Szayel is consumed by the opponent such as when he was by Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo)
• Gabriel – a form of resurrection where Szayel impregnates the enemy with a part of himself by consuming the body from the inside to regenerate himself and kill the enemy at the same time.

Although he proclaims not to be a very strong fighter, Szayel is quite powerful. Along with various inventions and traps at his disposal, Szayel is capable of various arrancar abilities like sonido (super speed) and hierro (spiritual shield). He also possesses multiple fraccion under his command, but they are notably weaker than the fraccion kept by other top ranked Espada. Szayel has modified each of his fraccion’s bodies so he can cannibalize them instantly to regenerate his own wounds.

Zommari Leroux

Zommari is an arrancar and the 7th ranked espada in Aizen’s army. The remains of his hollow mask consist of small spikes on his head immitating a mohawk, a pair of earrings, and a necklace. Neither his hollow hole nor his ranking  tattoo are visible. He wears tight white garbs, and is  tall, muscular, dark skinned.

For the most part, Zommari is a very calm, quiet, and collected individual. He is extremely loyal to Aizen, to the point where he would abandon his usual demeanor and acts more like an enraged sociopath. He despises all shinigami except for his three generals, Aizen, Gin, and Tosen, because of they kill his fellow hollow for their “evil” nature.

Zommari’s zanpakuto is named Brujeria. In its sealed state it looks like a normal katana with a black, spikey guard. His resurreccion is triggered with the command “suppress,” and transforms his lower half into what looks like a pink pumpkin, with eyes looking in every direction. His upper body remains human-like, with his tight white garbs now covering his head too, and also grows eyes looking in all directions. In this form he has the ability to take control of  the movement of one object per eye. Also, he can hide for protection inside his lower half, becoming one sphere.

Zommari met his demise at the hands of Byakuya Kuchiki. His aspect of death is “Intoxication”.

Yammi Riyalgo

Yammy Riyalgo is an Arrancar in Sousuke Aizen’s army, the first Espada to be introduced in the series, alongside Ulquiorra Cifer. He is the only Espada whose rank changes, from 10 to 0, after he releases. Yammy is a rather large Espada in his normal form, whose size can actually increase substantially after resting and gathering up spirit energy. Yammy has dark skin, a ridge-lined skull, and red hair. His hollow hole is located in the center of his chest, and the remnants of his hollow mask rest on his lower jaw.

Yammy’s aspect of death is rage, which can be easily compared to his personality, as he has shown to lose his temper on several occasions when things don’t go his way. He has been shown to be extremely brutal toward his subordinates, but in Ulquiorra and Aizen’s case, is quite respectful to his superiors.

Yammy’s Zanpakuto is named Ira, which means rage. When releasing Ira, Yammy’s spiritual power grows so much that his rank changes from last (10th) to first (0). His released form is the largest we have seen yet, even larger than the fraccion Poww. Aside from the increase in height, Yammy also grows large black rods sticking out of his body, and a tail that grows 12 more legs and a club-like tail. As he gets more and more enraged, the power of his ressurection and his size increase.

Yammy has no fraccion, but is seen with a hollow-like dog in his quarters.

Ulquiorra Cifer

Ulquiorra Cifer is the first Espada to be introduced in the series, alongside Yammi Riyalgo. He is the Cuatro Espada (Foutrh Sword) in Aizen Sousuke’s Arrancar army.
