This week’s chapter

Wow, a beautiful coloured front of Ginjou’s Bankai form. Alot of purple in there. He had the same colored eyes at aizen had at one point in his evolution. Purple and white. A strong hollow look covering his body. He has a little hollow in him huh? Whatever power it has it didnt do him much good.

The second page of this chapter is also an interesting one. Riruka… she has turned rukia into a vessel for her to hide in, overhearing Rukia’s thoughts. Hearing Rukia think Ichigo over, Riruka comes to the same conclusion. Ichigo has changed her, Inoue just as well.

the fight between Ginjou and Ichigo isn’t quite over yet. As they slam onto the ground. Ichigo’s strike wounded him, but not enough just yet. Ginjou slams another attack, parried by Ichigo. It isn’t soon however till Ichigo’s blades pierces through Ginjou’s Zanpaktou i guess… I don’t think we can call it a fullbring if you go bankai. Other then the blade Ginjou is struck as well, his body having hit it’s limit.

With his last strength he tries to stand up, but is body is already dying. Ichigo stands over him. As Ginjou’s eyes slowly close as he slowly fades away he wondered if Ichigo was the first… things would have been different.

Suddenly Tsukushima attacks Ichigo from behind. But Rukia to the rescue!?

Nope… It’s Riruka who releases herself from Rukia’s body. Her fullbring ability having done God knows what to it’s host body as Rukia collapses when Riruka take Tsukushima’s blade. I wondered if she would have done it if she knew it was physical copy of his Fullbring blade. Because they do look the same.

What is going on behind her is interesting. There is literally a door in her upper chest. Tsukushima shouts in pure anger and despair, shouting at Ginjou. We never really saw this guy lose it in this fashion, not even against Byakuya. Riruka holds him back.

Ginjou saved them… But all of Xcution failed Ginjou on the path that he walked. In the end it took a fellow substitue shinigami for Ginjou to see through his own hate.

In the end we see why Tsukushima feels so strongly toward Ginjou. Due to his powers I reckon he either ran away or was cast aside. Ginjou knew this child was something different, as he was. It seems it was still happy times then I believe. Ginjou seems to proudly wear his Shinigami uniform.

I guess a little flashback won’t hurt anyone at this point.

Go go Zangetsu!

Ichigo definitly evolved. And the sword sure as hell did. If it could be more raw in form… well. there it is… DAMN! Just go to page 9 and enjoy it for yourself…

Ginjou thinks he got under his skin. Ishida thinks Ichigo lost it.

Ichigo knew, knew something was strange with the badge, noticed the strange way Ukitake presented it. Noticed it didnt really work. he didnt want to believe. But at one point in time he used his brain a little. Wy would someone as smart as Ukitake try to play in such a way?

Ukitake is a honest man after all, letting Ichigo choose his own path. He chose the path for power, the power to protect his friends. Ginjou may have thought the same when Ukitake gave him the same choice. In the end Ginjou came to a different conclusion about Ukitake and Soul society. times were different then. Ginjou felt betrayed by the lot.

Ginjou hoped that Ichigo would follow him. Help to fight Soul Society, I believed it when he said he didnt want to kill Ichigo. He wanted to turn him. Ginjou ends up going Bankai.

Chapter 476: The Lost
Read Chapter

Ginjou went bankai. Very differently from Ichigo. In his case it seems a blend of Shinigami, fullbring and hollow mixed into one form. It’s obvious the evolution of his powers progressed differently from his. Ichigo remains calm. His power seems to have evolved to new heights, the bond with Zangetsu stronger.

Ginjou’s agression is still there, though it’s probably frustration aswell. The captains-class warriors below kept their eyes on the scene for only a little longer. They’ve already seen Ichigo does not need or want their help. It seems that from a long ago the decision was made to use the next substiture shinigami as bait. And kill both him and Ginjou.

Ichigo and Ichigo alone changed every about Soul Society. Ichigo broke the ‘rigidity’ of Soul Society’s old ways.

Ginjou seems indeed frustrated as this chapter returns to the battle. Ginjou hoped Ichigo would turn him away from the path of revenge. It seems Ginjou doesnt think Ichigo acknowledges him, he launches of a powerfull attack. Which Ichigo manages to block with his hand. Ichigo’s eyes are calm when he strikes Ginjou down.

Will this be Ginjou’s end, or will his Hollow possible take hold of his soul.

P.S: I have very little time to work on these things properly, considering the long days I have atm. If someone is able to take over, like maybe every other week, that would make it a bit easier on me, I like this friendly bleach community and I don’t want to see it die out. I don’t think I have the ability to give a new writer the proper acces rights though.

Holy plot twist Batman. Welcome to pun intended street.

Ginjou has quite the story for Ichigo as he immediately start chatting about the badge and it’s supposed function and actual function. Ishida being the observant man that guy that he, figured the Badge was something else. Before he hits him with the truth though he hits him with a question, letting Ichigo ‘slowly’ realize where this is going. Ichigo never did experience the authority of the badge before, seeing how Afro-man never heard of it. Now I didn’t think anything of that moment either, seeing how Afro-man isn’t the smartest branch on the tree. Afro-man never heard of it, and no-one of the top-tier ss guys ever asked for that thing.

The badge exists to observe and restrict the user. It works as a tracking beacon, and the badge was suppressing his reiatsu whenever he was in human form. All this reiatsu that was stored in his badge, that actually helped him get his powers back. The other surprising reveal is that it is all orchestrated by Ukitake Jushirou. Ginjou also pretty much admits that he also got conned by this guy in the exact same way. Ichigo’s rage is now building as ginjou continues his rant. Ishida can already feel what is about to happen.

Ichigo responds the only way he can.

ichigo goes bankai, the big question is, will it look like his form in the Aizen form or will it be a blend of his older ‘immature’ form with a taste of Full bring influence in there. One bit of fan-art after this chapter on Mangastream looks awesome as well, don’t quite like the hilt, but there you have it. A few other points.
- Will Ginjou pull a bankai-like form out his ass
- I don’t believe Ichigo will go on a rampage. I believe he earned their trust with his sacrifice, beating Aizen.(Take Byakuya for example)
- Ukitake?!?!?!?! WOW!!!!
- Ginjou probably found this out he was being watched, maybe he was already up to no
good, and then discarded by SS. Neither Ginjou or SS has revealed of what actually happened to Ginjou.

A great chapter. It starts of with Tsukishima on his last breath. Wondering why Byakuya would kill the man he owed so much with such a cold expression.Byakuya seems to have more loyalty toward Ichigo now, for saving SS. Tsukushima seems to regret his failure in his goal.

The pocket dimension are falling away, Yukio has agreed to Toshiro’s deal A nice bit of comic relief as the guys review their respective battles, Zaraki ranting against his subordinate. I love Ikkaku’s face when he tell his captain the gave his enemy a lecture.

Toshiro joins the group with a still iced-up Yukio. Toshiro, is being smart by keeping him bound till he knows everyone is safe. Byakuya went to find Rukia. She is unconious but seems ok. Byakuya states he found absolutely no trace of riruka. Not even a trace of her presence. Yukio gaze goes serious, he probably has an idea of what she might have done. I think she embedded herself inside Rukia this time, maybe even having control over her body. Rukia’s conscious cast aside.

After a short conversation Yukio again complains of wanting to be released, however Toshiro brings his attention to the only active pocket dimension. It’s one he cannot undo unless Ginjou orders him too, which he can’t do, since Ginjou is inside and he is outside. How convenient for the ‘main course’ right?

Anyway, it seemed Ginjou has shared his strength with everybody, and visa versa.

We fall into an intense battle. First thing I wondered after finishing the chapter. What happened to Ishida? First he was there. if he got whacked again, at least show us a body. But whatever, Ginjou seems to be fighting in a similar style to Ichigo, using the stolen techniques as well. They seem pretty matched in this fight. It’s a good thing that Ichigo didn’t have to start a square one. Both takes their fair share of hits.

For some reason, Ginjou brings up Tsukishima’s demise. He throws Ichigo in a mix of shock and relief as he tells him that when a fullbringer dies. all traces of their ability will disappear. All will go back to normal. The point Ginjou makes is simple. He was fighting for their sake. Ichigo does not have a quick answer for him.

As for next chapter it seems the history books will open for us. Genjou’s past, possible Ishinn’s involvement with Ginjou? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Chapter 471: Pray for Predators 2

I didnt write a summary for this chapter since there isn’t alot that happens, but alot is being told.

As we sort off expected this. So this chapter is basically the past stories of the crew of Tsukushima and Ginjou and Jackpot Knuckle guy… Riruka was kind of a bitch, she lost a bit of that bitchyness, thanks to Inoue. Giriko was intriqued by his power, ending up killing his wife. He seemed in shock but ended feeling like an emissary of the Gods if anything. Yukio kept distant all his life, I don’t feel it’s their parents that even caused most of it. Jackie lost her family, due to her father’s activities.

So far Jackie seems to be the ‘nicest’ person, I think her path got messed up as she met Ginjou. So her confession to Renji was not BS. Riruka see’s herself as the ‘scrap’ of humanity. Fueled by Ginjou’s speech. Xcution seems like they are after power… how original. for some this was obvious. Ginjou, Giriko, Tsukushima and Yukio are all bit oversealous and powerhungry. The woman of Xcution, not so much. Maybe the guys got small… well you know where I’m going. I’, not quite sure where riruka actually stand. I dont think she does either.

The chapter has a bit of action as Rukia finds a way to connect with her blade launching her pillar of ice. Riruka counters by releasing her and then, well, something happens… but what?

Chapter 472: Azoredge equiem
Read Chapter

The chapter continues on from the last one, still don’t know what’s going on, of what ability she actually used. I did notice that every object appears to be gone. it’s just Rukia and her Zanpaktou. I got no theory on what’s going on. So shoot. The chapter switches to awesome. The fight is going on hard and fast. Tsukushima breaks Byakuya’s blade. The conversation they have is a review of their time training together. So Tsukushima quickly nestled himself in Baykuya’s memory.

Byakuya can still call upon his bankai. The first hint of the end of this fight as Byakuya starting to improvise. Doing things he never done before, Tsukushima’s ability not giving him the intimate

knowledge. Tsukushima doesn’t waste time and goes straight back in. Trapping Byakuya’s movements, getting attacked by own blades. His entire arm being cut-off. This turns out to be a wake-up moment. Byakuya actually relating a little to the person he resents the most(I think).

Kenpachi.
Byakuya held on to his blade in his clenched fist, the blood masking them. He punched straight through the human’s chest, fatally injuring him. Byakuya actually enjoyed the battle for just the sake of battle. Kenpachi would love this if he ever found this out.

Good day ladies and gentlemen.

The first half of this chapter was awesome. A coloured page, and then another one!! great overview, we can now see a little bit of what Ikkaku has on his left shoulder. I thought it to be a tattoo at first, but that doesnt seem to be the case. ANYWAY, onto more important stuff.

Tsukushima managed to land a hit on Byakuya, putting the captain under the ‘spell’ (for lack of a better word) of Tsukushima’s full bring. Rather than focus on the conversation, it’s the true strength of ‘Book of the end’.

At first I believed that ‘Book of the End’ was a one way move. Tsukushima implanting himself within their memories, creating situations which we’ve already seen. I figured at first that Tsukushima was manipulating Chad an Inoue further with intel gathered by him or probably Ginjou. That is not the case.

Book of the End works both ways as becomes totally clear in the conversation between the two fighters. This is great stuff we learn about Byakuya’s senkai and bankai. Except it’s explained in detail by none other Tsukushima. He seems to know allot seeing how has made himself one of the ‘select clique of trusted individuals’

I wonder though if Tsukushima is not starting to be over confident. Even if he has knowledge about Byakuya he should still realize Byakuya is still a force to be reckoned with, even if they end up with a ‘plain’ sword fight. Their are countless ways Byakuya could use Kido, his speed and sword attack against him. I also don’t see Byakuya falling victim to the psych aspect as well. But Tsukushima could very well use the death of his wife against him, manipulating his memories to his favor.

But I believe Tsukushima is lacking in attack a strength and speed, the obtained knowledge through his ability will keep him alive for quite a while longer. It’s going to be interesting to see how this fight will continue. I’d like your guys opinions on his abilities.

The chapter switches to Rukia attacked by stuffed animals, lucky for her they have different opinions of what they find ‘cute’. Rukia quickly  returns to a formal posture whilst talking to Riruka. This fight seemed pretty passive until Rukia hit a button on Riruka when she called her a ‘normal’ human. I’m not sure she mentioned that intentionally but Rukia wasn’t expecting what is going to happen next.

Riruka used the ability she used when helping Ichigo in his training, in this case she puts Rukia into a stuffed animal, shrinking her down immensely whilst doing so. I wonder if Rukia is able to to move around in this new ‘body’. As Riruka mentions, she probably does not.

It seems Rukia is in a ‘stuffy’ situation…

Chapter 467: Luck Men
Read Chapter

Last week’s chapter begins exactly where me left off. The monster Yukio spawned around are about to crush the young Xcution member, screaming in fear. His fear turning shock, as the Toshiro destroys the monsters in a blistering fast strike. The ice of his zanpaktou shattering them with ease.

The young man immediatly ridiculing the soul society captain but is silenced quickly once more, ice wrapping around his body leaving only his arm and head unfrozen. Toshiro being the smart man that he is, giving the scared young boy an ultimatum.

Disable all the pocket dimensions, or die. I somehow think Yukio will make his decision in the last second, making sure all the remaining fighters have their privacy and plenty of time to wrap up their fights. Right now only Kenpachi en Renji should be free of their respective enemy. The old geezer being utterly destroyed and jackie sacrificing herself for Renji.

This brings the chapter to the next fight: Moe vs. Ikkaku. These guys are alot alike, Ikkaku being the older and wiser of the two (as wise as these guys are).Ikkaku remains a bit passive trying to figure out the Fullbring ability of Moe, failing at the brain work shortly after. He quickly dives into the attack but ‘Jackpot Knuckle’ Moe luckily breaks his zanpaktou. Moe using the opening to throw a punch aimed at his face. Ikkaku managing to block his attack, but still gets knocked back quite violently. the next conversation between the two. Who is actually the lucky one. Moe gets a little bit talkative revealing a little bit about his ability. Ikkaku acknowledging it, he tossed his shattered Hozukimaru aside going for a good ‘ol fist fight! BOOYEAAH!

Moe quickly discovers how hardcore the SS 11th Squad soldiers are. Ikkaky taking hit after hit from his jackpot knuckle.

Things get hairy as Moe find out his luck is fading, never having used it so rapidly before. Ikkaku spites him pissing Moe off enough to throw out a power puch, his ability seemingly working perfectly for him. Or is it? Even if it did, his ability wasn’t enough as Ikkaku grabs his tiny head, violently smashing his own head against his ending this fight, Ikkaku crowning himself as the luckiest SOB in the Gotei 13.

Beating Moe, proving just that.

Chapter 468: Raid as Blade
Read Chapter

Onto my personal favorite so far. Tsukushima vs. Byakuya.

These guys starting of with a conversation, both awaiting the other. Tsukushima trying to throw Byakuya off by cutting a leaf, and running his blade on the stone floor beneath him. Byakuya not falling for it, immediately launching his shikai as Tsukushima moves. Of Course Tsukushima is fast as well, trying to move behind Byakuya. The scene brakes off, moving back to the aftermath of Moe vs. Ikkaku. I don’t feel the need to summarize the whole thing extensively. But Moe gets taught a lesson in honor by Ikkaku. The only thing throwing me off is that I never really see Kenpachi as someone who would rescue someone, he did save Ichigo back at Hueco Mundo, but I think he still want to fight Ichigo since he beat him, but oh well, Moe gets taught a valuable lesson in honor.

The truly interesting part of this chapter starts at page 14. Byakuya seemingly stepped on a trap set by Tsukushima. A giant block shooting out the ground catching Byakuya by surprise but not giving him too much trouble. Tsukushima appearing behind him, Byakuya throwing his shikai at him but easily deflected his attack. Tsukushima’s power is truly frightening. His ‘book of the end’ works on non-living objects as well, in moments he put Byakuya in a difficult spot, his last attack having struck his blade.

His ability has made it be that he has been here before. So the affected area has become a place he visited a long time ago, as he had set a trap there. the fact that this is a pocket dimension doesnt seem to matter in the slightest. So, having deflected Byakuya’s attack he now has slipped his presence in there as well. The way this work seems a bit different from. It seems he ‘absorbed’ every bit Senbon Zakura.

It raises a few questions for me.
- Does it affect things Tsukishima’s hasn’t seen before?
* He still has his Bankai. Is that still useful?
- Does Tsukushima really cut him at the end.
* I don’t think so, Byakuya still has many techniques he learned from Yoruichi.
- Why is this guy so loyal to Ginjou?
* I mean, with his abilities he could easily kill him I think, this guy’s techniques are something to be feared, I don’t hope he’ll die this soon.
- What trick will byakuya use to get out of this soon you reckon?
* I think it’ll be nice if complains to his enemy when he’s forced to use ‘that woman’s’ techniques. Lovely.

This is it for this week! Seeing there is little word from SSJ I will try to do a proper review as early as I can depending on when the chapter is released, or until he drops a comment.

Chapter 465: Bad Blood Exhaust.
Read Chapter
It almost starts to look like Xcution exist to so the Shinigami can show how awsome they have become. Which is okay in a way, but it makes all the Xcution members feel a bit useless filler material.

It starts with Lucky Nr. 7 vs. ikkaku. the latter seemingly using his brains a little for a change. It isnt long till he gets hit on the shoulder, dislocating it. The little one feels like ikkaku, if he was younger. I kinda lolled at the scene where Ikkaku recovered himself, the awesome shine of his baldness overwhelming the little brat( I couldn’t be arsed to remember his name OK..)

Next fight in the chapter is Dirty Boots vs. Renji.
Renji is being surprisingly noble again. Renji’s power in this fight is impressive, but this fight is almost a carbon copy of Kenpachi. Enemy charges up, shinigami is unfazed. I still very much like his new look regardless. The one thing I dont really understand is why renji actually thinks he can beat Aizen with raw power when he’s technically still under Aizen zanpaktou’s spell, and could this mean Aizen’s incarceration has been cut short by about 19.998 years(give or take).

Chapter 466: Screaming Invader

Renji remains noble in at the start. Renji is wondering why the ‘world’ has dissipated yet. Apparently Yukio has set up the room in such manner that one will have to die. Yukio also is able to observe every room, as he decides to collapse the room trying to kill both of them. Jacky names it useless trying to escape and in the end, she finds a bit of her noble self by looking at Renji’s determination. She decides to kill herself in order save Renji.

The scene switches to Yukio who is calmly observing the end of the fight. his face showing little compassion for his teammate. Yukio seemed a bit like the calm type, but he can’t keep his mouth shut when talking to Toshiro. The boost in power has given him a new sense of greatness, or ‘god-hood’ as he starts a series of attacks whilst speeching about how awesome and great he is. Toshiro is utterly un-impressed use few words just to piss him off that little bit more launching more attacks, and is pretty much giving Toshiro exactly what he needs to put this boy off balance.

So, Yukio joined with Xcution because of his parents via your basic ‘They-were-never-home’ story. with the slight difference, he Yukio went out to destroy them. His speech left him vulnarble creating an opening for Toshiro, pushing him onto the ice, freezing him into place, destroying his electronic ‘game controller’. Toshiro isnt as noble as Renji, letting Yukio be destroyed by his own creatures.

Oddly enough, I am looking forward to the Byakuya fight the most.

Hey folks, ssj’s laptop is suffering from technical problems, so I will be doing this short summary to get discussions going. A fitting title for this chapter. Ichigo pulls of one humongous Getsuga Tensho, one that Ginjo has no way of dodging. Man, I just loved Kubo’s art during those 3-4 pages, especially this one:


In the immediate aftermath, Toshiro tells Ichigo that the reiatsu transferred to him from the special sword Urahara gave to Rukia was infused with that of all the Captains of the 13 Divisions, and that the Commander Yamamoto gave the order to go against Shinigami laws this one time for Ichigo. Ichigo must feel pretty awesome right now after having his life being dragged through the mud these last few chapters.

But of course, Ginjo can’t be downed that easily. As the smoke clears, a transformed Ginjo appears with armor similar to that of Ichigo’s when he mastered his fullbring. Ginjo is revealed to be the first substitute shinigami assigned to Earth, but went AWOL sometime before Ichigo received his powers, it’ll be interesting to hear the full story. Undoubtedly, Ginjo is relying on the shinigami powers he claims to have taken from Ichigo, but let’s see if he’s even half the beast Ichigo is right now.

Other things:
- It’s so nice to see the Soul Society shinigamis return. I’ve missed seeing Rukia around, and her new look is very cute.
- It looks like Urahara returned to Soul Society to plead with the Commander to assist Ichigo. Shame on anybody who doubted his motives in the past, this is like the millionth time he’s come through to save Ichigo and his friends. I also hope this is the beginning of a re-newed cooperation between Urahara and Gotei 13.
- What’s Tschishima been doing this whole time, I still see him as a wild card in this fight, he’s still in control of Ichigo’s friends and the other members of Xcution.
- I wonder what would happen to the members of Xcution after all this is over. It seems to me they’ve been misled by Ginjo this whole time, but how will Soul Society judge them especially with their strict sanctions against non-shinigami beings possessing spiritual-esque powers?
