Submitting Bleach blog post

Guidelines on post submissions:

- Be thoughtful and creative. Copying and pasting other people’s work from other sites is a no-no, but you can reference stuff in your post with links.

- Please use a spell checker and make your blog post coherent. To maintain the quality of the blog, submissions with bad spelling or horrendous grammar will be rejected. So please check your work!

- Please note that I, or one of the editors, will need to approve a blog before it gets published, this is the only way to ensure the quality of the posts is good and that nobody takes advantage of this service to spam or for personal use.

To write a blog post, login and click on ‘Write’ in the tab at the top.

* You will see this window where you have all the tools to write your blog. To add pictures, click on the gray square next the ‘Add Media’ and upload a pic. Alternatively, you press the green button (with the tree) and submit the weblink to that pic (to get a link, upload the picture to a free service like photobucket or imageshack then copy the link they provide – it’ll start with http:// ).

* You can also embed videos into your post, but it is slightly more complicated. You’ll need to find the embed code for a video first, most services like Youtube or Veoh provide this code conveniently next to the video somewhere. Next, click on the HTML tab (next to Visual) and paste in that code where you want the video to appear. Please DO NOT embed more than three videos into your blog! If you have more, just make them into simple links (press the chain icon). Videos take up lots of blog space and can take long to load.

* There’s a built in spellchecker (ABC checkmark button)… please use it :)

* Below the writing box, there’s a menu where you can select which categories fit your blog best.

* If you aren’t finished your post, you can save it and come back to it later. If you’ve completed your post, press Submit for Review and either myself or an editor will look it over as soon as possible. It may be a good idea to save another copy of your blog on your own computer. You can copy/paste your post directly into a word processor like MS Word. To preserve the formating of your blog, you can also press on the HTML tab (beside the Visual one) and copy/paste all the HTML code into a text document (right click on your desktop, select new, scroll to text document).
