Grimmjow Jeagerjaques is an Arrancar under the command of Sosuke Aizen and is the sixth highest ranked Espada. The remains of his Hollow mask cover the jawbone on the right side of his face. His Hollow hole is located in his abdomen. Grimmjow has an overall rebellious look to him and is reflected in his personality. He is very rude when speaking to others and is not one to be counted on to always obey orders. He is not afraid of challenging Espada who are higher ranked than himself. For example, he attacked 4th ranked Espada Ulquiorra Schiffer because he believed they were equal in power.

Grimmjow has a love for challenging battles and hates to fight injured or weakened enemies. He has an aggressive attitude and a violent temper. Grimmjow is also highly prideful and will bear a strong grudge against those who have wronged him or beaten him in battle. Before becoming an Arrancar, Grimmjow was an adjuchas-class menos with the body of a panther. He met his future Fraccions, Edorad Leones, Yylfordt Granz, Shawlong Qufang, Nakim and D-Roy at the time. They were so impressed with his battle prowess that they nominated Grimmjow to be their “king.”

Despite his berserker-like demeanor during fights, Grimmjow is a skillful fighter and has a knack for discovering and exploiting weaknesses in his opponents. Like all Arrancar, Grimmjow has the ability to use Cero blasts and also higher level Espada-versions of the attack such as the Gran Rey Cero. Grimmjow’s Zanpakuto is named Pantera, a sword with an S-shaped guard. Its Resurreccion command is “grind” which upon its release transforms Grimmjow with more feline features including claws, sharp teeth and a tail which can be used a whip. His Hollow mask also turns into the shape of a crown on his head, reflecting his title as “king” amongst his Fraccions. In his transformed state, Grimmjow has augmented strength and speed along with several new attacks including the ability to create powerful energy claws from his fingertips called Desgarrion.

Ulquiorra Schiffer

Ulquiorra Schiffer is the 4th Espada of the Arrancar in Sosuke’s Aizen’s army. He is a very cold character with a permanent frown on his face. The most recognizable features on his face are the lines running down from his eyes, making it appear he is crying. The remnants of his Hollow mask are worn on his head like a broken helmet. His Hollow hole has moved to his throat area. Fellow Arrancar Grimmjow Jeagerjaques has stated that Ulquiorra has a habit of attacking his opponents in that specific location if he finds them to be worthy prey. In Ulquiorra’s eyes, those who are weak and unworthy of his attention are “trash” and expandable.

Ulquiorra has proven to be incredibly powerful in battle and has bested Ichigo in his vizard form without even unsheathing his sword. Like many other high ranked arrancar, Ulquiorra can use cero and bala blasts. What makes Ulquiorra an even deadlier opponent, however, is his intelligence and combat analytical skills. Part of the reason why Ulquiorra excels in battle is his ability to accurately gauge of spiritual power and skill of his opponents. During his first incursion to Karakura Town, he was able to measure Ichigo’s power and observed that it fluctuated dramatically from very weak to more powerful than his own. His conclusion was that these wild fluctuations would eventually destroy Ichigo.

Ulquiorra’s other abilities include the ability to display his memories to others by crushing his left eye into dust and displaying what he has seen through the dust. Although Ulquiorra has a Zanpakuto, he has never been seen using it in battles so far; it remains unnamed.

Neliel Tu “Nel Tu” Oderschvank

Neliel Tu Oderschvank, or simply Nel Tu, first appeared as a childlike female Arrancar encountered by Ichigo and his party in the desert of Hueco Mundo. She is accompanied by friendly Hollows Dondochakka Bilstin and Pesche Guatiche, and their large pet, Bawabawa. Nel has flowing green hair and her Hollow mask is in the shape of a small cartoonish skull which she wears on her head like a helmet. The skull is missing several teeth and has a large crack in it. Nel also has a scar running down from her forehead, and a pink marking that runs horizontally across her face below the eyes. Nel has a fear of Shinigami, believing them to be evil. However, she develops a strong attachment towards Ichigo after they meet.

Nel Tu was originally an adult Arrancar who served in Aizen’s army as the 3rd Espada. However, despite being such a high ranking Espada, Nel Tu was continuosly being challenegd by fellow Esapada Nnoitra Jiruga who couldn’t accept that a female was stronger than himself. Nel Tu won every one of their duels but never killed Nnoitra stating that she does not want to murder those weaker than her, but this only made Nnoitra even angrier. Nnoitra then teamed up with Szayel Aporro Granz in a plot to oust Nel Tu. Granz reverted Nel Tu’s Fraccions, Dondochakka Bilstin and Pesche Guatiche, back from Arrcanar to Hollows by forcefully removing their Hollow masks. While Nel Tu was distracted by this event, Nnoitra attacked her from behind, landing a savage blow to her head and cracking her Hollow mask. However, Nel Tu did not die but instead reverted to a childlike state. She also developed amnesia due to the injury was unable to remember what had occurred. Nel Tu did not revert back to her former self until she witnessed Ichigo being heavuly injured by Nnoitra during their incursion into Las Noches.

Nel Tu possesses the unique ability to swallow the Cero attacks of other Arrcanar and fire it back at them at double the force by adding her own energy to the attack. She is even able to do this while in her child form, but the effort exhausts her. Nel Tu also has the odd ability to heal others with her vomit (which she calls saliva). Gamuza is the name of Nel Tu’s Zanpakuto, and its release command is “declare.” The release transforms Nel Tu into an armored centaur, and the sword itself transforms into a double-ended lance. Nel Tu can perform a powerful attack called “Lanzador Verde” (Spanish for “green spearman”) where she throws the spear at extreme speed at her enemy.

Luppi

Luppi was temporarily the 6th Espada in Aizen’s Army, he replaced Grimmjow Jeagerjaques when the latter was demoted. He is has a youthful face with feminine features. The remains of Luppi’s Hollow mask sits on the left side of his head. The sleeves on his Espada uniform are extraordinarily long and hide his hands. He is highly arrogant and aloof, and likes to taunt his enemies in battle.

During the second raid of Karakura town, Luppi single-handedly took on Toshiro Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa. He was stopped by the arrival of Kisuke Urahara and was trapped by Toshiro Hitsugaya’s Bankai ability, but was rescued by a negación beam. After returning to Hueco Mundo, Luppi was quickly killed by Grimmjow after Aizen made Orihime restore his arm.

Luppi’s Zanpakuto is Trepadora, which is Spanish for “climber” but its Japanese is written as “ivy girl.” Its sealed state is a kodachi with a pink hilt. The activation command is “strangle” where upon the zanpakuto transforms into eight large tentacles and a bone cowl which covers Luppi’s head. The tentacles have enormous reach, and can easily attack multiple opponents at once with power strikes that can deal additional damage once the tentacles grown spikes.
